Go to the Wing bags by Carolyn section and look there for them. They have assorted colors and they have stock. Dave |

Why would you need that for the Carden??? That is unnecessary and you are just adding more weight than needed. Keep it light BABY!!! |

but let's say most of the $$ for it, it's a gift that i can use only for Ryal.. long family story.. so i can use that $$ for the Roayl or nothing..i was thinking about selling it.... but it's not that "much Weight add".. so it's nice to use it, and then pass it to another big plane on the future....... |

Hey all, this will be my first gasser and I'm still confused about set up. I'm running a Dx7 for radio, Beyond that I really don't know what to by for batteries, receiver, powerbox (do I need one?) etc.
I keep hearing the term "redundant" in regards to receivers and batteries.Does this mean two separate receivers and two separate receiver batteries?? can someone explain the ideal set up for me?? I should mention I want to keep weight down but not if it puts me at risk of losing my new Yak. Would an AR7000 be an O/k receiver? Will I need a voltage regulator? If so which one? Basically I need to know everything from the beginning... Any explanation would be greatly appreciated. I've been flying 47 - 55 inch electrics for a few years and never thought about gassers until I saw this bird. Thanks |

You could get a ton of opinions on what the needed (wanted) setup on a 50cc class gas plane can be, a typical and conservative version would be this:
A single digital servo on each surface, ie: 8611 A single HD digital servo on the rudder, ie: 8711 A good fast digital servo in the throttle A single 2300 mah A123 battery for the receiver through a single HD JR switch A single 1100 mah A123 battery (VPX) for the ignition through a single HD JR switch Use gold plated HD leads for any servo extensions Any receiver will be fine, 2.4 or 72 mhz Scott |

Scott,
That was a good start, let me elaborate a bit for the chopman; Run a throttle servo(fast as you can afford, and metal geared because of vibration I like the 5625MG) directly into your AR7000, and a li-ion. Pick up one of these http://electrodynam.com/rc/EDR-111/index.shtml and run your elev(5955TG's), ailerons (5955TG's), and rudder(8711) into this with another Li ion and then plug the leads coming out of the power bus into there respective channels on the AR7000. This device optically isolates the load from your servos and helps prevent that ominous 2.4 "Brown-out". I ran this on my last Yak (Which I sold) and it was bullet proof. Run your normal 1100 to the ignition and you are ready fly. Don't mean to step on toes Scott just wanted to share what work reallllllllly well for me when I was flying the DX7 (Now an x9303). That is a perfectly good option and does work very well for many guys. To address the "brown-out" issue, this is one of the primary reasons some guys are moving to A123's, no brown outs... Plus being field fast chargeable in 15 to 20 minutes you always have an adequate charge so the batteries will never get close to the cliff's edge.....
