Horizon actually shows them in stock now.. I haven't seen mine at my LHS yet but should be here soon eh..

So does anyone know if these are going to be limited production or will they go on and on for years?

Monday night I started assembling one of these arf's for my buddy. I have to be honest, I am extremely unimpressed with the quality. I stopped building it and showed him the broken bits and the lack of glue in some very critical areas. Also, to me, the cowl looks awful. I think he's going to end up trying to get his money back and go for the AW kit like it was suggested to him. For the $$$ they're charging for this plane, it should be a heck of alot better than this. Anyone who has assembled the QQ Yaks will know what I'm referring to.

I honestly believe that the structural design is a superior one to other ARF's because of the the blood line that it came from. Don't fault the kit for substandard workers and their craftsmanship. I would be the first to agree that there are unacceptable flaws in this first run and I doubt that this was those workers first plane to build. I hope Mike and HH are taking note of all the rumblings that are coming from us about the quality of the fit and finish, most definably below our expectations and standards even if they are ARF's. Even so, I will be proud to show and fly my Yak, I love the lines and color scheme of this thing, I have no doubt that it will much better than I could ever hope to fly it....

While I agree that the pure bred origin of the plane is fantastic, and also that the plane will be an amazing flyer, I still have to agree with my friend with the fact that this was not $700 well spent. I talked to him during lunch and it seems he is going to return the plane and reinvest in this plane once it's been on the market for awhile. In the mean time he is having another brand of plane being shipped to me as its replacement.
