I'm not Mike Mc or Hanger 9 but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night....

Ward, have you seen the video on the HH website? The DA-50 or similar will be more than enough power for us in this region, it's less than 17 lbs. Up in the mountains out west may have a little trouble but we wont, Stick with a 50cc class engine and don't look back...!!!

Garret,

Would have been nice to make it to the Nall, perhaps next year things will line up better.... I have a picture on my desktop of the pair of them on the Nall flight line...!!!!

What's your elevation there in Wyoming? Have you had problems before with other gas engines? I hope the 3w80xi will fit for you if you have to go that direction, I'm sure the airframe can handle it but you will be a bit heavier, select your batteries for lightness carefully, perhaps A123's...???

Scott,
Would he have to switch to the new and improved concrete, Kevlar and carbon fiber wing tube plus the extra tall landing gear made of the same materials for the prop clearance? LOL!

I don't know about the wing tube whether it can hold up to the higher stresses, Dennis told me at Toledo that he has incorporated a modified design on the wing tube. It's much shorter than older designs and saving weight and eliminates the inherent weakness in the skins towards the end of the sockets out in the wing.

Garret could use big ass wheels for ground clearance like an Alaskan Bush Cub...

I'm really looking forward to this plane. So far I am really impressed by what I see. Hopefully mine will be in tomorrow, it left Horizon last Friday. I will report on what I find.

Ninja,
How the heck is your YAK leaving Horizon to go to you in Florida? We've all been told that they were still making there way across the big pond on the slow boat from China....... I ought to know, I've swam out to it to fill the gas tank on the Evinrude numerous times! LOL! So...... My question is: What do you know that WE don't?? Inquiring minds want to know.
