Well looks like around 6430 rpms on a 24x12 mej that should be awsome on this 24 lb H9 Sukhoi on stock muffler. So I think your right I will order a 25X12 Mej for the H9 Extra 260 on the KS 1090 and post my results.

I noticed Gareth.k posted some detonation issues in another thread, and i was wondering if anyone else has had any detonation issues with the ks1090 to speak of?

Not sure why you would have detonation? Perhaps running too high octane fuel? I run 87.

ejohn18 - how loud is the Mej at 6430? How about in the air? Also, what is the pullout like?

So is KS 1090 the default setup then on the 85?

Where can I get them?

I like the 1090 a lot. They are available at DA and are pretty much a drop in and go setup. Nice power, transition and same weight as a DA100 on stock muffs.

I thought that they're lighter than the DA 100. So what's the real advantage then?

Same weight with pipe as a 100 on mufflers. A DA100 on mufflers will not turn a Mejzlik 28x10 at 6600rpm.

I think the new DA100 gets close actually so it is a relatively fair comparison.

I am not sure if you are talking about the old 100 or the new 100L but my 100L on standard mufflers is turning a Mejzlik 28x10 6700rpm.

Eddy, can you test the 1090 with a 27x10 Mej or 26x12 Mej if you have one lying around?

hmm... should Just get the 100L with stock mufflers then? Comparing it to KS 1090, then price difference ain't going to be much.
