Also guys if you order this combo DA knows exactly what you need just give them the plane and they know the header/drop required. Jeff was extremely helpful. Just remember to ask for a flex header to make things easier (some guys on the 75cc AW thread needed a hair of movement)

I just ordered an 85 to go with my H9 Sukhoi.

What's the best pipe/prop setup for 3d?

The DA85 on the KS1090 pipe sounds really cool at idle... sounds like a CBR600 motor bike... very cool.

It does approach 100db at full throttle (from 25ft), but that's with a 2 bladed 28x10 Mejzlik... throw on a 3-bladed 25x12 for IMAC and this thing becomes fairly quiet!

I can't wait for the snow to melt up here... my just-built 35% Aerotech Yak needs a thrashing with the mighty DA85 and KS Pipe!!

Here's a pic of Trev's setup in his 35% aerotech Yak. Looks nice!

Camms - I'd go for the 1090 pipe and 28x10 Mejz

Yep... Camms.. go with with 1090 pipe and the KS KomfortMount (not shown in Sprice's picture)... unbelievable power, awesome exhaust note and weight savings.. too good to be true!

Cheers

Wild Hare 35% Sukhoi powered by DA85 and KS95 Canister. Model weight 26lbs. Motor still very rich, but still turning the 27x10TH at 6060rpm.

The KS ComfortMount is a really awesome little mount... it's got a neat rubber shock absorbing system that isolates the vibrations of the pipe from the airframe.

I'd highly recommend this mount... it's $20.00 well spent!

I'm just working on the baffling on my DA85 / 35% Aerotech Yak... should get around to the ComfortMount install next week!

Cheers

How does the mount attach to the pipe? I hope this is the one DA is sending me!

sprice50, I believe that comfort mount has a metal band that camps on the pipe then it has rubber mount to stop vibration from being transfered to the airframe

Here is some pic I found on the net with the KS mounts installed hope this helps

Yep... that's how!!!

A very slick system for sure... the rubber system in the middle isolates the can from the airframe!

Highly recommend!!

Looks pretty simple, just some clamps, bolts, standoffs, and rubber washers to isolate. I am hoping this is coming with my 85
