Hi all. I was wondering if there is a descent ARF Yak available that would fly well on a converted G26? I have the G26 and am looking at a Yak as possible next plane.
Thanks P.J |

I guess the plane would need to be in the 10 - 11 lb range. I am mostly wondering which planes have worked out well for those that have tried this combo.
Thanks P.J |

The seagull yak is a good choice but I would reconsider your engine choice. The g26 weighs almost 3.75 pounds with ignition and muffler. With all the electronics and two batteries I think you will be well over 12lbs. And I would imagine you would have to add alot of tail weight to get the cg right. I am in the process of building this plane with evoloution 26 which has more power and is probably 20oz lighter. Engine weighs in at 33.1 verses 53.6 on the g26.If you want to do 3d the g26 IMHO has not got the power to weight ratio that you will need. I would say put that g26 in a 1/4 scale cub. You you want you can put it in the yak but I do not think you will be happy. Good luck and happy flying.
