Default My new 42% Dalton 260

Just thought I would share a few pics of my new ride for 2006. If the weather ever improves here in Ohio I may get to fly it. Tony Russo framed the plane up and I finished it out. Tony did a beautiful job.

Specifics:
DA-150
MTW 110 cans
Futaba 9152's (2 x aileron, 1 x elevator, 2 x rudder)
Sure-Link servo arms
Fromeco LiIons and Regulators + 2 Badger switches
Monokote and DuPont ChromaBase paint
DieHard Graphics

See you guys on the IMAC circuit this summer!

Ken

Ken.

Tony surely done a nice job framing it up but dont spare the Kudos for yourself or whoever finished that off. That is one of the prettiest 260's I 've seen in a long time.

10 points Sir for that one. Man I bet your waiting impatiently for a decent day to get it up in the air. More pics etc will be expected of course.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I can't wait to fly it for sure. The weather around here has been pretty bad, and I've got a baby due any day, so it may be a while before it gets air. I'll post for sure when I get some airtime.

JeeUm, if you are referring to the black pinstriping between the red and yellow - it is just 1/8" wide black pinstriping tape. I got it from Bart at DieHard graphics. Easy to apply, just takes a while!

Yes, Frank Versteegh flies an Extra 300L with this scheme. He flies in the Red Bull air races among other things. I believe his sponsorship with Toyota has changed, but I used to tow my planes with a Toyota SUV, so I kind of stuck with it.

His website has some cool photos and videos:

http://www.aerobatics.nl/home.htm

This is my 3rd Extra with the scheme. It shows up extremely well and because it lacks straight lines, it is actually easier to pull off than most other schemes.
