Default FancyFoam BLENDER by Animal Jesky build thread

Wassup dudes, I'm here to share my building and flying experience of the new
Fancy Foam BLENDER! I have to say, I've watched Andrew rip the crap out of
this little bipe for a couple of years now, and I've always wanted one of my own.
Well Mike Hammel at Fancy Foam did an awesome job bringing this foamy to
the market! So before I begin, i want to thank Andrew Jesky for a KILLER design,
And Mike Hammel for making it possible to own the blender for myself

this is definately a very complete kit! all of the hardware is included in the box,
and more than enough carbon rods to build the kit. All of the parts lock together easily, and the manual is very informative to keep the build simple and
straight forward.
here is all of the parts layed out, ready for assembly...

This plane is so easy to build! from box to framed up in a little over an hour.
I wasnt able to take many pictures of the actual build,
but here are just a few shots of the fuse bracing and after the wings were glued
on

I dont believe Mike is offering the Blender already milled, but dont quote me on that... I for one will be building another one of these that will be milled and lightened no later than next week.
Here are a few more pictures of the build...

Please give a little more information as to equipment and RTF weight.
When you get it flying let us know how it goes and where you got the CG to suit you etc.

You'll love it!

Neil, the Blenders are not currently available milled. Mike mentioned that if there is enough demand for it a production milled version is possible in the future, but not yet.

Here's a picture of mine, not that it looks any different. My setup:

Hacker A10-7L (just because I want stupid power for freestyle)
Hacker X-5 ESC
Spektrum AR6100
JR S185's on tail
Futaba 3114 on ailerons
Dualsky 2S 300mAh 25/50c LiPo
Custom GWS 8x4N v1 prop

Finished mine and with battery I am at 5.3oz RTF. For some reason it feels heavy to me but maybe because there is a bit of flex in the landing gear. I will be fly'n her on Wednesday, I will post my results!!!

Cheers!!!!

That plane is sweet Jared. I'm not sure if the twisty ties are the best idea on the prop because if you crash your most likely going to break it that way but its a creative idea and i like it, not like those stupid rubberbands stop it from breaking the prop anyways

hehe yeah the zip ties do work, but your right...if i hit the ground the motor is probably going to rip from the firewall Its all good though, i consider my foamies
as "disposable items"

Jamie, Good luck at the ETOC! hope you place well! I wish i could make it this year, but time and funds just wont allow. When you start building your blenders for the
etoc, try milling a couple...I'm curious how much weight we can save!

'Bout 20-25 grams, or 2/3 to 3/4 of an ounce.

Mine's about 127 grams RTF with a 4ish gram heavier motor.
