Default Bomber over San Diego

Any San Diegans seen this bomber the last couple of days? I just happened to see it flying outside of my house, and got a picture.

From the things I've heard, the owners are giving people flights in it. How awesome would that be, to ride in a WW2 gunship, in very good condition?

I can't make out the tail color on it. We have had one here in Conroe accompanied by a B-25, P-51, P-47 and a Stearman.

Yes, I saw it quite a few times this weekend. It is the Liberty Foundation B-17 "liberty Belle". It does have a yellow rudder. It is flying low and slow all over San Diego giving rides. I think it costs $400 for a 1/2 hour ride. Here is a link to information, it may be coming to a city near you. Rally cool!

They travel the country raising money. They where flying out of Deer Valley Airport last fall. This takes them over the back side of our flying field.

All of the planes we had here in Conroe this weekend were from The Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston. It was a bit windy all weekend but they came and gave rides to raise money for restoration and gas funding. (At 4 bucks a gallon plus, they gave a lot of rides. The rides ranged from $225 to $450 according to the local paper.) While coming home from church today, Kyle said "look at that!" I caught a glimpse of a bubble canopied P-47 leaving Montgomery County Airport. When I looked skyward on my side of the car, this thing was bookin' it! The B-25 and the B-17 made circuits about town pretty regularly all weekend and the bad thing about that is that I didn't get much done because I was out on our second floor balcony enjoying the flybys. Since they were only about five to seven hundred feet up, the show was pretty good!
