Has anyone had a Tower Hobbies Fun 51?
I was wondering how it flys and is it able to do 3D? I have a OS .46AX with a Mac tuned muffler. Looking for a profile 3D under $100.00 http://www.towerhobbies.com/products/towa5010.html |

It will probably hover, but the tail surfaces look kinda small for anything else.

I've seen a couple of them fly. Great plane for the money. Not a killer profile like a Mojo or Chinn Yakk, but a fun airplane.(yes it will hover)

My buddy has one..........the tail flexes quite a bit.....to make it more fun he bashed some retracts into it. It's a great throw around plane....but not a 3D monster by any means. Put on some larger control surfaces and it could possibly be one....have at it.

Well, if youre looking for a profile for under $100, you can't beat the mojo or primo for that matter. Both will shrug off crazy abuse time and time again. The fun 51 is old school big time-nice I guess for a sport flyer but if you are wanting serious 3D from a profile, the two mentioned will not let you down. Yes, they are kits, but will build way easier than the fun 51 could ever imagine and won't break behind the wing when it hits the ground for the first time. Your engine/muffler combo will work great-especially with an APC 12x4. I use mousse can pipes/headers on all of my .40 2strokes and have crazy power with instant throttle response (extrememly important for on the deck 3Ding). If I were you, I honestly wouldn't waste time and money on that plane-you would seriously be short-changing yourself.
