Going to be putting Greives pipes in his, glad you included the drop on the headers as I ordered the 70mm from DA today.

Where did you get those round gromets to run wires through, also those rubber clip thingy's to clip the wires in on the sides of the plane ? What are you using for a dash board/instrument panel ?

Im really excited about picking this plane up tomorrow and getting it home, its the same color as your first one in your pics. Im going to have to get one of those Skyline Aviation decals you had made up, that looks really nice...where did you say you had those made ? You did a good job in making those up !
Good to hear Danny - rubber clip thingys are from Radiowave (j-tec)...comes in various sizes. Dashboard will just be a 3D picture glued to the back of a 3/32 ply and glued to the carbon fiber crossmembers behind the fuel tanks. The graphics are from Kirbys Kustom Vinyl....the SewBusy logs are from Stan Stockmans 'Cutting Edge Graphics'. The round grommets are from Dons Hobby Shop. Let me know how the build goes, and if anything I can help out with, dont hesitate to ask.

Thanks,

Joe

Hey Ido,

Thanks for the insight on the control linkage set ups...on the new plane...I have found the 1.5" arms are plenty to achieve over 35 deg of throw on the ailerons...which anybody knows on this plane, the roll rate will be ballistic. Next time I am out I will try and get some video footage.

Take care and keep in touch!

Joe

Anthony,
There are a good number of ZN Extra flyers who are members of FG, including me. Start a new thread asking questions so you don't distract this one. I'm sure you will get a good response.

Hey Joe, got Brendans Katana home. Everything is ok other than one of the wings got a really small nick on the corner of the leading edge where it goes against the fuse.....some numb skull ran a fork from a fork truck through the wing box !Was really lucky on that one. I guess some people just cant read. Its easily fixable though.....it looks awsome !

Hello,

the plane requires a little bit more work than the CA....the two things that stand out from the CA is that the owner needs to install the control horns on the flight controls, set the wing incedence, and mount the hatch...the rest is just like a CA. I will see if I can find some pics of the control horn installation off my build thread I did on my first Katana.

Here is where I laid out the measurements for the horns, then assembled the horns to get the proper distance between the two
