Sleepy, how does your 40% Cap fly at 40.5 lbs?
To me it flys great.
Floats like a champ.

I'm not good enough that 1 or 2 lbs really makes that much of a difference for me.

I mean I can notice a PIG plane... but a 40% Carden at 40 - 41 lbs to me still flys great.

I know that all my Carden friends like there's to come out at 38 lbs.

in fact Papa Joe had his 260 come in at 35.6 lbs, and he ended up strapping 2lbs of weight to the wing tube to get it to snap better.

AHHHHH the weight game... gotta love it.

Does anyone know what mark leseburg flew at the shootout for freestyle??? I remember watching it and thinking that it was like a huge foamy. I know it was tbm 260 but on downlines it almost looked like it had a vp prop also. Btw, can anyone comment on my weight??? Is that good for my plane???

Ok, I'll bite on this one.

Dalton 300
3W170/stock mufflers
Wings cored with 2 servos @ 2lbs 14.5oz each
36lbs 1oz

I weighed it on two seperate digital scales and this is the heavier weight. Just so I don't get trashed to bad I weighed it on Ryan's scale the second time at 36.1

Wayne, you're a legend. You don't have to weigh your planes, all you have to do is post a number and everyone will believe it. Ahh to have rockstar status and live the lifestyles of the rich and famous, must be nice!

LOL.
Jonas, you need to put that crack pipe down.
My numbers are believable becuase they are real and Yes, I used a scale.
None of my planes have ever claimed to be super light.

37.2 and 38.0 is on the upper end of average these days.

I know you guys have some light planes.
There are just some that I know have never seen a scale and claim to be very light.
Not pointing a finger at you southern boys..

On the Godfrey, we will be shooting for something around 40.

Scales must be different down here south of the equator.......... My model weighs an even 20kg with fuel.
That equates to 44lbs. I have since put an aluminium landing gear on it so its probably around 45lbs now.

The model is a Comp-Arf super extra, 3W157 CS TS, one servo per stab, two per aileron and three on the rudder.

I dont seem to have any trouble flying it through the unlimited sequence, even at altitude it dosnt have any trouble with the sequence.
