Tony, leave Devan alone he couldn't tell it was so heavy while he was flyin it.
Devan slow down man.You like all the rest of us are the small fish in the big pond. It's gonna take time to work yourself to the top of the food chain. It's gonna also take hard work and dedication to get there. You've got a large group of guys to help you in FFAA. So be patient and make sure you appreciate what they can do to help you along the way. Voodoo has already given you a plane to get you going. I wouldn't call it your beater unless you can afford to replace it when it goes in and from what I can tell they all will eventually. It would be better if you used the plane for what he intended it to be a tool for you to use to advance youself in this hobby.
Get involved in working on your planes and if you have questions do some searchs and read. I haven't been at this long but I've spent hundreds of hour reading on these forums about the stuff. IMACC is alot harder than you think and you won't just show up at a contest without hours of practice and compete. You have the ability to do this and be good at it. You just need to spend more time flying or workin on your plane and less time typin. So I would say Matt is a good example of someone your age putting his time in to improve his skills. I see him all the time flying online on his simulator. Yeah it can become boring but all the hours he spends there pays off when he gets out to the field. Even though he won't come out and fly with us and he lives right down the road.

Check-out these aerials of the Fantasy of Flight Staging area and Runway. This is the best facility in Florida to hold an RC event. AC Restrooms, AC Restaurant, Full Scale Aircraft Museum Experience included with event admission or pilot registration fee. You can even take an Open Cockpit Biplane Ride for a nominal fee, during the event. Lot's of vendors with airplanes and products to sell, as well as the Freestyle RC Aerobatic Show and Open Flying between shows. This is going to be a must-do for the whole family.

Fantasy of Flight - Freestyle Aerobatics RC Extravaganza
December 6th and 7th.

FOF will be a must do for the FFAA Friends and family!
The Official Name for the Event will be:

Fantasy of Flight: Extreme Freestyle Aerobatic Festival!

WE will be starting a new thread once I get some more details hammered out.

Hey All!

Cpt Ducman e-mailed me some pics while he and his family was on vacation in Paris, France (Some guys get all the luck!) Anyway, he was representing the FFAA while he was there for Bastille Day. 1st Pic is w/ his wife in front of the Notre Dame de Paris, the other is with him and his girls on top of the Eiffel Tower!

Way to Go Capt. Ducman!
