Hey Snap,
Come on down for Triple Creek 3D Fly-in June 20-22.
I can't promise a pond, but I can promise a kiddy pool to dunk your tail in.
Hopefully you won't put the whole thing in the kiddy pool. Trust me.... its been done before!
If you don't want to wait for Hucktober fest, then TC3D is just the fix to get you thru the summer!

Hey All,

First of all I just wanted to follow-up with what Mad Max had talked about regarding fellow FFAA member Brian Luckette and his mom and dad, Bruce and Janet Ransom. As you guys know, their house burnt down during the Brush Fires in Florida. They found our abot this early on in the week and they stayed at Joe Nall because they could not return home anywayl. Brian, Bruce, and Janet still appeared to be having a good time at the Nall, but I could only imagine how they felt inside. They are good folks and good friends. There is a relief fund that is now in place to help this nice family. http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...lief-fund.html. Please chime in on that link and lets help take care of one of our own.

Just got back from the Nall. Unfortunately, my digital camera ended up missing after unpacking, so I hope that if any of you guys might of seen it at the Nall, please pm me or contact me. It has my name and cell phone on it. I did have some pics on my video camera that I will be able to share.

I arrived at JN Saturday about 2 pm and could not set-up camp yet because they were still finishing up with the pavilliion and bath house. The place looked great! Sunday am Flying Skunks and Jonathan showed up, and they brought the high winds and lots of rain. Sat, Sun and part of Monday, weather lookded bad and the camp, campers and planes were taking a beating. But Tuesday was the day that we were praying for. Sunny, mid 70's, no wind,,,,,,, and a whole lot of hucking was going on. The weather was kinda daunting at first, but cleared up the rest of the week! Fellow FFAA members that showed up: AeroLou (Lou), Snoopy 3D (Luis), Sp33D (Matt), Russian Thunder (Dimitry), Wrongway (Richard) , Steve Hoyt, Kevin Garland, Brian Luckette, X-Rated (John Nelon), and Captain Ducman (Stephen Day). We have some new honorary members, Absolute Yak (Doug) and his good bud Lonnie, Team MOJO (Josh has a good set of thumbs), Matt Mikesh and his Dad, Paul, ......(I know I missed naminf off some of y'all, so please pM me with your name , e-mail address, and FG handle name). It was really great to hang out with all of yous guys. FFAA------- Post your Joe Nall Pics!

I wanted to make a special mention to Rob Joyner of Competition Airframes. As i had mentioned earlier, the weather took its toll on our camp and airplanes, and my new Dalton 42% Extra 260, the hatch blew off the plane and tumbled away. Needless to say the hatch was damaged. I gave it a quick field repair so that could fly it. Our camping neighber "Smokin" called up Rob of Comp Airframes, who was bringing Matt a 40% Extra 300 ML Edition (in the bones). We caught Rob in time so that he could bring a Extra 260 kit to Joe Nall. Not only did he bring it, he framed it up and built it in the pitts at Joe Nall!!!. X-rated said he would finish it off and it would be ready and finished in time for TC3D!

Rob is an excellant builder and nice guy! That was evident in the hatch he built, and the "In the bones" Extra 300 that he brought for Matt. You can reach rob at www.competitionairframes.com

Thanks Rob!
