Bill Hempel 50% Edge
Just finished my Hempel Edge. Easy assembly, great quality, friggin big.
8711's everywhere (swb) Fromeco 2 5200's rcvr, 2 5200's ignition 3w275 BH Prop Carbon Spinner EQ10 power thingy JR 2.4 rcvr Smoke Aeorgraphix Positives: Awesome quality, shake the box it falls together, Bills accessory kit is very complete. Covering was a little wrinkled, one heat gun job and it stuck. (easist one I have done). Hold a standard heat iron next to the wing, it does take a while. Only one negative and I was being picky. The paint on the cowl matched the covering perfectly, but the paint job was 7 out of 10. A buddy repainted the cowl, the colors aren't perfect, but looks better. Probably the second easist ARF I have assembled. EY Yak being the first. The only reason it was more difficult was purely because of the size. A lot of walking around to get to the other end of the plane. Definitely gonna do another Hempel plane after I do something dumb with this one. |
