if you can get the same Engine but in heli version you are gonna flip out! everyone says that is the same power but i got pruve that that is not true O.S. 50-SxH with a 12.35 x 3.75 w APC you are gonna have Lots of Power and a nice Vertical I use in mine Cool Power 30% Heli , I recomend to you taht you use 30% Heli you gonna have Great power and a litle Smoke System I have used this Engine in a KYOSHO Flip 3D,Seagull Harrier 3D and my freands are using it on UCANDOs .46 and on the Funtanas .40! If you alredy have the normal 50 SX well use the propeler I gave you and 30% gas to bring the most power out of it and if you use a Pitts Mufler or Tuned pipe Ect. is even more Power up! Good Luck Budy!

I have a f40 with a .61 and it hovers at half throttle and my funtana is definately on the heavy side. I think if you just keep it light and use the prop xtreme flyer recommend it should be good. Try to keep it light.

I think that if you use an APC 12.25x3.75 prop you'll have enough power

LoL That Reminds me of a Freand that had a OS 61 on it to and one Day I told him that a OS 91 its abaout tyhe same Weight only with more power and What he did?? he got the 91 on it LoL! omg it flyes well I couldn't bulive it!! I tested it my Self wen I see it again I am gonna take som Pics to Show ya it Awesome and incredible! it has a Pits Mufler in my opinion.. on the f40 I prefer a 50SX than a 61,the 50 is way lighter and a good power for the f40,if I got a 61 and a 91 I prefer the 91

Hello.

I will chime in a little here. I flew this combo for about 3 months. I ran 25% Omega through mine with an 12.25x3.75 APC and I had tons of hover power. It hoverd a click over half (For those of you who still use ratchet). I'd say get this combo, keep the electronis light, use a pitts muffler and you will be set.

you know several people put the saito 100's on them. I got one but I think it would be better suited for another plane but if you wanted that engine........

I would bet that would be a nice combo. Power to weight would be better than with a 61 and wingloading much lower.

If you go with the 60 size electric that would bet that would be the perfect set-up! Fact is the 60 size electric motor has way more power than a 60 size nitro engine. There is a guy that had the 60 size electric motor on a 60-90 size edge and it would rocket out of a hover. If you can afford that setup I would go for it!

Wouldn't a O.S. 46 FX be good enough for this plane?
It is recommended on the internet.
