Default Mixes with profiles

Do any of you use mixes with your profiles? I programmed R-A and R-E mixes with mine due to coupling in KE. However, seems they make the plane act weird with input during hovering.

I set those up... but I set them up so I can make flat rudder only turns... and then KE takes care of itself....

the only other mix I do on profiles is elevator to spoileron.... helps bleed a bit of lift off in harriers... but not all planes need it

Which slab are you flying?

I have to say... if you need mixes to fly a profile then you've either got the wrong profile or you need more practice!

I can't say I've ever had to use a mix on any of my profiles (Katana P, Mojo 40, Mojo 60, GeeBee, Primus 50(clone)).

Only the Katana P flew perfect knife-edge but it only took a few minutes to dial my fingers in to correct the pull on the others and when it comes to other maneuvers it's the same -- just learn the inputs you need and *fly* them rather than using your mixes as a crutch.

Well that's the way I do it anyway -- others may have their own preferences.

There are so many factors that can cause roll and pich coupling. I try to balance and true my plane first then if there is any coupling I'll mix whats left out. I have big planes, foamies, and profiles and I've only had 1or 2 profiles that had 0 mix ,and in foamies every time I here " This foamie has no coupling" I usually have to do some minimal mixing. This is probably because I like an aft CG wich can effect pitch coupling.

Yes, there are probably some set up issues I need to address after reading an article from another site. I am going to zero the mixes, check the cg again on the ground and in-flight, adjust and see how it goes.
