Actually I think the sledgehammer test would be MORE scientific.

Well more honest anyway.

I wonder what's next for Jim?

Magic fuel-savers that also defy the laws of physics to allow you to gain a 50% improvement in fuel savings by fitting a magnet with "unique spherical radiation properties" to your fuel line?

And when people complained that it didn't work he'd say "it's your electrical system. Throw out all your switches and wire your battery directly to your alternator" or "I drive my own SUV every weekend with this device and it works perfectly" or "of course the tests say it doesn't work - we've designed this for the road, not for the laboratory -- people don't drive in a laboratory"

Wow... it's almost like a template that could be applied to any scam isn't it? :-)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh XJET you got me laughing way too hard on this one mate.

Anyway on a very serious note. I'm out of this thread, I done my time trying to see if XPS works and it does not so I am killing my sub to this so I can work on my new project.

http://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/f...tml#post479962

This one is going to be fun, lots of radio stuff, new technology (for me anyway) so if you like technical stuff come on over and help me out guys. Its a community thread and it means I need help to make it all work.

I agree Kiwi--Im out too---I have no intentions of ever even considering XPS so no point in even checking in here. Anyone flying XPS in something other than a foamie is playing Russian Roulette.

My first post (on here anyway).
I am NOT out of it.
Reason being, that as an RF Technician and a Modeller that is mainly into helies, I DO NOT want to see an XPS system show at a club I am flying and have a heli come at me out of control, where the Owner had absolutely no chance of avoiding the accident as he has no control what so ever what this radio does or does not.

Just installed it in a JR Xp9303 after using it in a 9C successfully. Now I have 2 TX's with 2.4 capability and they work fine. It works in the 9303 also. Goodnight fella's or shall I say ladies!

Anyways, I wanted to point out something because I've seen the word "Consumer Authorities" popping up:

Don't expect them to act on their own. You have to file a complaint. You have to get active yourself. I'm not an XPS owner myself and I'm going to do the same thing as alfred here should anyone ever show up with anything larger than a foamie and XPS/IFS in it on our field: Take my car and myself outside the area of danger.

There's a certain irony in these posts.

SS40 is another paid fanboy. They are getting rarer and rarer nowadays, though. What happened to all the early shills? They are awfully quiet now. Just a sad lil' handful left. Chris F Test Pilot, and Chuck A. The last holdouts, really.

What's the "spirit of FG?" You mean, the spirit of being owned by RCgroups, who take money every month from Jim Drew and XPS?

Tourmal...you worry to much. At this point, it's rather unlikely that you WILL encounter someone flying an XPS at all, much less someone flying one in a really dangerous plane. It's possible, but rather unlikely. XPS has pretty much bit the dust already, and they sold so few units it's just pretty unlikely a serious accident will happen due to XPS.

You'd better hope that spirit doesn't spill over into the permanent ban category We'd be deprived of your priceless contibutions to the "XPS Sucks!" threads.

Unfortunate we still have some people use it in high powered helicopters and had already 2 incidences reported of total loss of control. As reported, these happened just meters away from the TX while hovering. On top of the known issues, XPS also appear to have a firmware bug issue.
