TX module, 10 or 8 ch RX (I really can't remember which it is, what ever it is it's XPS so it's crap anyways), and the little receiver USB thingy that you hook up to a computer: all for $135.00 (assuming I can find all of that stuff around here. Once again, since it is XPS I have not exactly treated it with reverance, but it's here somewhere!!!).

Well, through the horrid grammer, the awful spelling and the insults, I am not even certain of what you are trying to say. No doubt you have a lot of issues trying to communicate to others....
No, offer (NOT over) declined. There literally are fools out there that believe this XPS stuff is worth while. I'll just await one of them. As Barnum said (and JD knows all too well) "there's a fool born every minute"!!! |

WHAT??? I thought XPS was the BEST stuff out there (in your opinion)!!! I should be asking $800 for this combo. After all, the ONLY reason anyone has EVER crashed using XPS is cause they are power system idiots, right? Therefore if you can power it properly, you could control an airplane in orbit about Alpha Centaurie, right????
For that sterling reliability, you gotta pay, bro!! Pay dearly. (unless, of course, you think XPS is not really all that JD claims, eh?) |

Never mind Woketman, You just proved that you're an idiot. I'll pay JD full price for a perfectly good, brand new product. You should try selling lemonaide for $3.00 and see if you make more than the 6 year old next door.

Sorry Aramsdell, but normally I would not be insulting, but seeing how you started it:
You proved you were an idiot far before I may have. After all, you trust aircraft to XPS!!!! HA, last laugh on you! |

I will at least know that my next XPS Rx is in good shape. I don't want to wrest yours from you. You need to have it so you can still complain.
My 4 Rx's have performed perfectly in highly staurated 2.4 RF environments. NEAT Fair 2008 and 2009. Nary a glitch of any kind. over 300 pilots flew over the 3 days. No extra time to link up. Park Rx's nearly to the edge of sight. 10ch on a 2000+ helicam. That heli performed at show central. THE only heli to fly center stage. I for one will continue to build and fly my XPS sytems properly. Others will find reason to blame this radio as well as all the other brands out there. |

OK, let us know how you feel when XPS balls up one of your best choppers. Cause that day is out there and you are racing towards it!

My gut feeling is mechanical failure and pilot error together will put more choppers into the ground before flying or not flying an XPS radio will, the same as flying a Futaba, JR( Jr and Spectrum count as the same radio), Hitec, or Multiplex - better than 100 to 1. And many of the pilot error crashes will be blamed on radios, the Old "I ain't Got It!"
I worked for Mr. Oki at KALT Helicopters in Japan for a time and one of the things we did every few days was to go out and test Mr. Oki's turbo jets in one of 5 different planes, besides manufacturing a great helicopter, Mr. Oki also imported the French JPX Turbine. The test pilot was one Japan's top pilots, flew for Japan at FAI Worlds, one day one of Mr. Oki's nice F86 went into the ground clearly due to a pilot induced stall! Yep those damned Radios! We were flying at KALT's test field close to Mt. Fuji, miles and miles from anything, no interference at this field. I have ACT, Weatronic, Spectrum, and Airtronics 2.4 systems - all with no trouble. A Poor power system could shoot any of them down as would poor antenna placement - I worry about pilot error ( This would only occur when I let someone fly one of my choppers of course ) and batteries putting me into the ground much more than which ever radio I fly. This does not mean that I don't pay attention to my Radio, I started R/C back in the days when coming home with a plane intact without radio failure was an accomplishment - but even then Pilot error, to include not tuning your radio properly before the days flying, and Batteries were the biggest plane killers! Then there is system maintenance servo wires, connectors, Hey when was the last time you (anyone) sent their radio home to Papa for a tuneup and checking over? I was surprised once when I sent My Mutiplex radio for a checkup and learned that it was 15% off from peak, yes I had noticed a slight reduction in ground test range, about ten feet, the reason that I sent it in. Happy Flying, Cherokee Jim Mahoney

Hello All,
I have already posted this information in the Rotory Forum ( rotory.com ) but because of its importance I am going to repost it here also. ACT is a Radio Control Company from Germany who have been in the business of making high end receivers and now 2.4 GHz FHSS conversion systems which are available for most radios, I have the set for converting my Multiplex MC4000 to 2.4GHz. ACT has already translated some of their very useful Information Documents into English, check out the following Important and very useful Information on Receivers and their installation among other things: http://www.acteurope.de/RX-gb.pdf This is general good to know information, later I will post some translations of ACT's other info on 2.4GHz systems. Enjoy Reading, Cherokee Jim Mahoney |

Just like to say that I fly XPS and right from the start with the small antenna. I have upgraded but there was no apparent need. The first time I flew off the water on floats I had a cell phone technical manager for one of our major carriers in Canada "spot" for me at the meet. He looked at the antenna and almost had a fit and wasn't sure he wanted to spot for me. Then I proceeded to fly down to speck almost, and he came around quickly to realize this and my previous experience, and my confidence in XPS, was well-placed. You guys can naysay all you want. I don't fly foamies. I have flown 6 channel XPS out as far as I ever fly the 8 or 10 channel and they perform flawlessly also. The only loss I have had since switching to XPS was one small park flier due to stripped Hitec servos. Other than that loads of flights on XPS gear.
You guys that harp on this and Jon, get a life. Why are you wasting all this valuable time on something that you think is worthless? How pointless. People have been very insulting on here and when they get it back they get their backs up. I don't know how some of the crowd has been allowed to post multiple disparaging remarks with no proof or even experience with a product. I guess that's one of the reasons I seldom visit here anymore. Enjoy your rants, folks. Jim continue to improve on your radio gear and don't let them get to you. Perhaps I'll see you at the expo. We've never met or spoken but I've enjoyed your products. Flying in from the Great White North to enjoy a little sun and some modelling related browsing.
