If it saves one newbie from XPS, then it most definitely ain't worthless! But if it don't, then yes, worthless....

You did not say "It is "physically not possible" to have a spherical pattern with the external antenna." You said: " The remote antenna will not work because it is physically not possible with our design." This is not about an antenna pattern, it is about whether it works or does not. You said id did not, yet it does. What is more, why does the radiation pattern suddenly matter? You claimed that "Digi's antenna patents pertain to their sensitivity and selectivity using their antenna." With so many contratictory claims, its clear who wants to confuse. And that you are still unable to present any patent numbers, clearly reveals that your claims are bogus.

LOL, so W is incapable of reading again.
Julez the way you are stating it is that you are a fanboy if you will not accept a null as data. Well, call me a fanboy then, because the inability to get infomation means exactly that, nothing. Why not get together with W, rent an anechoic chamber. Invite the world to watch and gather data. Julez, you still will not explain why you will not test the XPS receiver in the field. This saves the money for the chamber. Oh, is it because you refuse to accept that XPS does have spherical coverage. Julez, it is ridiculous to no end that you cannot accept the difference between an isotropic antenna and an antenna that gives spherical coverage. Again, you can test this for yourself in the field. Come on. You and W are certainly capable of a simple field test. Have a neutral party observe. Since I have over twenty XPS receivers and have tested all the planes that contain them I can tell you the result. Spherical coverage but not isotropic coverage. Mmmm, just as advertised. BTW my FASST, Spectrum, and 72mhz receivers will also give spherical coverage. Mmmm every antenna on our receivers works adequately for its purpose! Again, I read more about people losing planes with Spectrum than with XPS. So why not save them from Spectrum because obviously you and W think people can't think for themselves. Julez, "It's certainly better for the economy than buying a cheap chinese or eastern block system, although one gets the same performance for less money, or better performance for the same money that way." This is just another time you state something as fact without any data to prove it. So just where did you do the testing on all of these systems to come to this conclusion. Smells like baloney to me. We use the XPS/IFS System in our german rc club since Jan.2009.
There are 7 guys, round about 25 models and over 1000 flights. No probs at all. We use the normal, the sailpane and the 6 ch indoor reciever as well. The system works as advertised. ![]() Just my 2 cents. Markus from cold germany (-6 Degree) Last edited by siedleri; 02-22-2010 at 01:52 AM. |

Look out Juelz, You are now outnumbered in Deutschland. We secretly snuck them (the 7 from above post) in as a hit quad. They are there to hit your models out of the air. Oops forgot you don't fly just bash.
7 more fan-boyz. Excellent! |

I agree with the guy whose head hurts! i mean ***??
Like some of you I bought Gen 1 XPS, saw this thread, and shelved it cause I was iffy about it. JD came with the version 3 hopping and I have been happy ever since. He even released a version 1 predictive hopping vid that convinced me of any doubts I had. I dont agree on how JD went about reassuring his customers on some things, but I have had NO ISSUES (EVER) with my signal and there are 2 airports and a Airbase in a 10 mile radius of the different sites I fly at. so all this back and forth crap is STUPID! By calling my equipment 'Unsafe" brings out this response from me..... Fact is I only buy the best quality gear which is why I ran screaming from the hyped up/koolaid drinking DHSS spektrum crowd Those who are blaming XPS for crashing their expensive jets, basically had no business around or trying to fly a expensive or large aircraft in the first place. Or even better defined as USER ERROR Version 3 XPS is proven no matter its antennea, really a old and dead argument. The best info I have gleaned in this thread, (since its original Kiwi test is now obsolete and irrelevant), is that my next XPS Rx wont be the Sail plane like I originally thought, but the original 90* due to its better suited to 3D helis /planes. I will go end pin on it though. Thanks JD for educating me and clearing my headache. I mean really... If what I have to look forward to if I ever choose to buy a large 3D plane/Turbine is a bunch of guys wearing panties and crying like sissies over ancient crashes/tech data .. I'll pass |

Well, For me this thread is no longer relevant, Hinckley Bill summed it up with his Monty Python comment.
Point scoring is not what it is about - most of us just want facts. I will not be visiting this thread again. ![]() __________________________________________________ ______________________________________ Albert Einstein...
