Once the glue was set on the elevator halves it was time to mate them up with the stabs. This process is the same as glueing the hinges to surfaces. With the glue in the holes join them together ensuring that you minimize the gap between the two. Use masking tape to hold them in place and invert the stab so the glue will drain down over the hings. Repeat this step for the other stab. Once the glue is dry use a xacto blade to come in and chip away the excess glue.

Moving on to preparing the ailerons, this is the same steps as the elevators. The most important thing here is to ensure you use the right template for the inboard and outboard servo horns. Start with the inboard servo horns (closest to the wing root) for this set of horns use template W1. Once this step is complete, move to the outboard servo (wing tip) and use W2. Repeat this step for the other aileron.

Once the aileron control horns were complete it's time to glue in the aileron hinges. Break out the Gorilla glue again!!! Apply a dab of water to each hole and 2 drops of glue. Making sure your hinges are 90 deg to the center line of the aileron straighten them out and invert ailerons allowing the glue to drain down over the hinges. Repeat these steps for the other aileron! Allowing the glue to dry let's move on!!!

Once the rudder control horns were set and hinges glued, time to move on with joining the rudder and fuse. As stated in the manual to allow gorilla glue to properly adhere to the hinges you must invert the surface being glued. I used the pulley system to hang my planes up for this step. Found an old wing tube, fished a strap through it for hanging this massive fuse. Glued the hinges and used masking tape to hold it in place. Raised the fuse up and tied off the rope securing it in place for the night. In the manual it shows an easier way to glue the rudder by hanging it between two racks. The procedure I used was an alternative due to not having two racks side by side.

It was time to glue the ailerons to the wings, using the same technique from earlier in the build. Once the glueing was complete I used masking tape to hold the ailerons in place and inverted them.

This is exactly why I wanted to be a Dealer for Jerry and Airwild Pilot Shop. Very nice plane Jerry. I hope to sell a few for you myself. Rob

Moving on to the landing gear, I placed the fuselage up on the table to mount the main gear. Find 6 8-32 SHCS and washers to secure the landing gear to the fuse. Apply blue loctite due to the vibrations. Locate the axles, wheel collars and wheels and assemble them on the main gear.

Next step is the tail wheel assembly. The plane comes with a Graph Tech Carbon Fiber tail wheel. Measure the tail area to find the center and drill two holes for the tail wheel. I used blue masking tape to mark the area. Once the holes were drilled and gear mounted, locate and cut the supplied spring in half. Bend 3 rings down on each end to hook on the tail wheel and rudder. Drill a small hole on each EFP control horn for the other end of the spring.

Next procedure is to install elevator servos and linkages. For this step you will need to locate 2.5" Linkages, 4 - 1/4 HD ball link sets, and 2 servos. Install the servo with the servo shaft away from the hinge line. You may have to sand the opening slightly depending on what servo you use. Setup your pushrods with a ball link on each side. Adjust them so from center to center of the ball link is approx 3 5/8. Power up your servo before placing the control arm on the servo. This will allow the servo to center without damaging either the surface or servo. Repeat this step for the other stab.

i received mine and am getting ready to start the build. i was very impressed when i pulled it from the box. The engineering on the model is excellent. Jerry spent the time up front so he didn't have to go back and make a lot of changes. It is way too cool of a kit.

Here are a few pictures with the stabs on the fuse.
