Default AW Yak54 QB 75cc - Single servo on Aileron ??

Just wondering if anyone who owns a Aeroworks Yak54 QB-75cc has tried just a single HS-5955 or 8711 servo on the inner bay only (instead of two per aileron) for the aileron control ??

If so, were you running the recommended Hi Rates ??? (3D throws)

Appreciate the help and replies !! Dan

I'm building this plane now and I'm going with the recommended set up, I would call AW first and see what they say. You can use two Hitec 5985's or the equal in a JR servo and have enough torque. I myself am going with the 5955's all the way, just because I can use them in a larger plane next year.

Hey luv2flyguy, appreciate the reply, but AW has no choice but to endorse 2 servos per wing/aileron due to warranty/liability reasons.

I know there are a number of 3D and IMAC guys running or have run this Yak 75cc on one servo per wing and hoping they can offer some further opinion after having actually done it.

I am interested in saving wait etc... I already plan on going all carbon gear on the build to keep it light, but the extra servos and hardware etc... would be nice to eliminate if it can be done, but not at the expense of safety.

Niteman- That's great, if you do this please let me know how it works out I may just do the same. What CF accessories are you using and where did you buy them from? Thanks
