Then some dilbert was macabe enough to recover his camera, edit the video and put it on You-tube. Anyone should have more sense than to fly, in anything without instruments, into anything with zero visibility. The guy had a choice to jump or not, and he (apparently) ignored the rules.

Yep, looks like Steve-O flew into zero visability .. and who knows? Seriously ... this is absolutely aerial Russian Roulette, and I can't imagine anyone being so cavalier with life.

i have to agree, going into the clouds was flat dumb, no matter how good you know the surounding area.. i rode a thermal into a cloud back when i was flying gliders, once we lost visiblity we when to slip and got out, that was a rush, but this was at 700 meters.. not in a valley with big cliffs to hit.. here is how you should enjoy clouds.

My thoughts are Stevo baught it at some other time and place.... His friends put together a memorial video of their friend highliting the thing he loved. The skydiving and base jumping community does not share their tragedies with the rest of the world. Tragedies in the sport are a very private affair which is only shared with those within the community. Unless the nosey media gets their talons into it.

I didn't realize it was Pastrana. Now it all makes sense. I guess that's how you top a double back flip.
