The holes at the bottom are covered by steel mesh to protect dust going in the fuselage. The spinner is a Mezjlik prop Mezjlik 23X8 . I have 2 Krill Katana 28 % one is Extreme series Blue with DA 50 and One is the Latest Extreme Red with 3w 55 i.

The DA 50 bearly pulls out of hover. That airplane was flown by Frazer Briggs too and similar comments. I ran in the engine and its awesome, super and brilliant power thats what I can say.
Sorry to hear about the crash, this is one airplane one would hate to crash.

Could u tell me CG of your airplanes? Wht about lateral balancing. My left wing is heavy it seams and I need to counterbalance by adding weight on the other side. Do not want to cut the wing on the tip or stick the weights out.

Why not go in through the TE in front of the aileron?

IIRC I balanced mine on the wingtube.

My CG is also on the wingtube and lateral was pretty close so I did not add weight. Going in via the aileron gap to add weight would be the way to go.

So the 3W is the way to go? I will get one on order.
Almost done with the repairs. Should be ready next week. Luckily I also have two 28% Krill Katana's. Unfortunately I have only DA50's.

Thanks once again, do u guys mean to paste the weights in the hinge gap. If I do that it will be behind the CG which will create more issues if the CG is correct. Any other suggestions. 3w will surely be the way to go. It has a lots of power and more over you can swing a 24 X 8 prop @ 6100 RPM as per the manual.

Not in the hinge gap, but you could make a hole in the TE inside the hinge gap, glue the weight at the CG and then close up the hole.

Right, you need to make a hole, but since it is in the hinge gap it will not affect the looks of the wing

Hi guys. Sorry for my english but i give it a try. Se you have power "issues". I have this katana and i have a mvvs 58 prosport in mine and it pulls out of a hover like a rocket. It hovers at half throttle. It pulls a biella 24x8 at 7150 on the ground. Best regards from sweden.

I have just acquired a DLE55 and will fly it tomorrow. Still breaking it in.
I will let you guys know how it went, maybe I will get some video.
I think a 50CC motor is on the limit and depending on your altitude it may or may not work for you.
A 58CC would be nice

I have added weight for lateral balancing in the wing tube. No cutting a just 5 grams of weight extra then the tip.

Hi Friends,
Finally maiden the Krill Katana 28 %. It flies great perfect 50 cc plane. I changed from normal canister to a Carbon Coated Canister for low heat inside the cabin. I am at the moment using 23 x 8 prop. I didn't tach it but should be around 6800 RPM. The engine is really smooth, but wondering its warming to 250 F is that OK .

The wing underside color scheme was a special request to Krill on a extra payment. I found this airplane to have a good slow flight characteristics.
