jaguar bone,

I assure you won't be dissapointed with the katana and DA50 with a pipe.
Performance will be amazing! I first also had some minor concerns on the DA50, and were thinking of for example evo58, but now after flying the thing it is nice to see that there is absolutely no need for bigger engine. I am also sure that a canister setup will provide excellent power.

And yes, it is superb quality kit. It does have it's own exentrities for example the infamous CD-manual is no where to be found. But despite of these little non relevant missing items it is a 10+ kit!

Mine has recently had everything stripped out of it, and is gone for some airbrush work. I'll post pictures when that comes back in a week or two.

That is great documentation too Tommy!

Hey Tommy321- now forgive me okay?? - -But you laid down a challenge:
"There ya go!!!... I defy ANYONE to say that my pilot isn't "scale" now!"

Well, You are right - Great Scale for a comic figure!

Hey he does look great- and I must admit too (cause I'm totally mature enough to admit that the wife & I have watched multiple seasons of The Muppets) Beaker, was my favorite too. I liked the way the "beemp- beeemp"-ed for communication ! Muppets was funaaaaaay stuff!

I plan to paint a RED AERO RC pilot helmet with the Blue Seba design color! (if I can get the blue kit- Thanks for the new heart throb selleri! Hope I can sleep tonight )
Maybe add the red whisps on the helmet sides!?

Well.... I mean... one pilot has a red helmet on... and the other has a set of David Clarks.... Other than that... what's the difference?

Kidding... of course... your pilots look great... Although... given the paint scheme I'm planning on, Beaker might not be the one I finally use.

Cheers,

Tom

After looking through a few more of Beaker's Buddys' build thread - I realize I am GROSSLY UNDER CLAMPED in my build shop for this too! Looks like I'm gonna have to budget a couple boxes of the things!

Tom- always smile when I see another dark beer lover too! ROGUE has a few brews worthy of a bag of nuts and a stogie to finish er off!

So post #84 is where your progress is or just not returned to the thread??
Have you decided on a paint scheme yet? (pic?? )

Yup... where that thread ends is pretty much where I am. What wasn't pictured was I stripped ALL the installed equipment back out, and wet sanded the WHOLE airplane with 400 grit sandpaper :P I had a few buddies over (Dave_ORCC and scot on here) and bribed them with beer and pizza to help me sand It took a good 4 hours of sanding by 3 guys to get the whole thing scuffed up for paint.

Last Saturday I dropped off the airframe with the airbrush artist. I have an idea of what he's gonna do. He also did Dave_ORCC's Corsair which you can see here:

http://picasaweb.google.ca/tom.hastie/CorsairMaiden

So I'm sure my Krill will be a walk in the park for him.

For now, I'll only say that he's going to shoot the whole thing with a basecoat of silver, followed by some red and blue.

Probably about 2 weeks before I get the aircraft back.

LOL! More than one way to hinge duh rudder! I may have a $ or two left for cheap tape after I get this heartthrob in my shop!
You guys have hurt me bad!!
Hurts so good too!
Nice when a decision is finally made!

Tommy- Wow your painter looks very talented! Warbirds need to look worn and dirty! Get a pilot in primer (a bit cheaper too) so you can match the helmet to compliment your paint scheme! We'll still paint the torso and face if you want.

Okay- Well - Let's just say I hope it is a vacation that is hindering the communication between me and Sky Line Aviation. Left v mail on phone Tuesday. - Sent E mail Thursday - and well you would think I was trying to sell something to him.

Keppin' the faith guys- and hope Philip is having the greatest fun time of his life on vacation- as a reason for the delayed response!

Hi guys. I`m building one to I´m going to put in the Mvvs 58 Prosport, I´m hoping for "rocket performance" I`ve seen a video or two with the DA50R but i thought it locked weak? Krill has specified the weight at 8,5kg? I think that sounds much for such a NICE plane, By the way excuse my englich it`s not verry good... Regards Tobias from Sweden.

I hope you get it sorted out. I luckily got my Krill on sale New In Box from a guy I know in the area. He just decided he wanted to build something else and sold it.

Anyways. I did call Skyline to see if I could order a new canopy (mine has a scratch or two). When I finally got through, and asked if I could order just the canopy, the first thing I was asked was, "Krill Katana? where did you buy a Krill Katana?!?". The voice on the other end said he'd check to see his stock and get back to me. He never did. Here's hoping I don't need any rush order replacement parts.

Anyways... keep us updated on if you manage to get the Krill!
