Keppin' the faith guys- and hope Philip is having the greatest fun time of his life on vacation- as a reason for the delayed response!

Philip has been laid up in the hospital for awhile - I had talked to him this past weekend and is playing catch up in his e-mails. You should be able to get a hold of him, if not, let me know and I will see what I can do.

Thanks,

Joe

I had a feeling sometihin out of the ordinary must have been up. That is why I was thinking vacation or something. Hope all is okay with him.

Phillip did reply to my e mail over the weekend but missed responding to the freight cost to Ocoee question . So, I'm back in a holding pattern again. Not that big a deal really - especially if he is in recourperating mode! It's not like I have a competition deadline to meet.

Actually, I've been thinking too- when I gets ma' goverment check from the Bush- that will take the sting off the exchange rate form US to Euros!! So waiting even a few more days isn't the end of the world.
Theen FWIWorth, I'm so busy making pilots now anyway since starting the banner ad campaign, I don't have time to build (or fly) anymore. Bitter sweet tangerene to bite into - that one is!
Thanks guys for the dilemma

The canopy was finished by painting the border white.

Drill guide to the rescue.

After some dremeling on the spinner.

Made a back plate for the fuel dot.

And installed it above and in front of the wing.

Cut the wheel pant so it "locks" on to the axle.

Split a fuel tube and put it around the leg fairing, it was then attached with white FixAll to the gear(wheel pant not attached yet).

Pull/pull on the rudder and some of that red string on the tail wheel.

Looks good selleri!

I have only had problems with the fiberglass spinner that I ordered with the kit from Krill models. It is not strong enough and it looses its shape in flight.. I am currently looking at the CF spinner, and your no limitz spinner looks nice! Is it the ultimate style 3,5" spinner and did you order it from Krill directly or from somewhere else?

The most easy spinner to get for me would be mejzlik, but it is a little expensive. (great spinner otherwise) The second option is a pete model spinner of witch I have no personal experience yet.
And been looking at the no limitz products also. Could get the pilot at the same time if sending order to no limitz.

Thanks Olli.

It came from Krill and was ordered with the kit(I didn't order it), I'm not sure of the name but I would bet on the Ultimate if I had to put some money down on it.

Your build is looking flawless and the plane flat-out gorgeous!

You're really starting to discourage me... I've been thinking about this plane for a few weeks, and I have a 3W 50CS on the way... but I'm just about fed up with the hobby from waiting on updates from Cactus Aviation on a 3W 55-CS or my biplane.

Quick question... what's the US price on this plane?

Price- Ha!
I detect that this little bit of info - will definitely put you over the edge reyn.
I've determined you don't buy a Krill because of an "attractive" price - cause frankly it ain't!
I decided I've been bit as bad as someone who will purchase a Diamond in lieu of a CZ.

How silly is that?
CZ's are 8.5 - 9 hardness vs. 10 on the Mohs' hardness scale.
CZ's weight .7 x's more than a diamond of same size.
CZ's are virtually FLAWLESS - whereas diamonds usually will have a flaw.
The refractive quality of a CZ is 2.176 vs a diamond at 2.417. ( yawn)
Color - CZ's can totally lack color vs only the rarest of diamonds may ge to colorless.
So why the hell buy a diamond reyn?

Okay Quick question - not so quick answer-
In SEBA C motif $ 1,079.00 Quoted 3-29-08
The Katana 28% Seba C (blue) is available now and the shipping price depends where you want to take this airplane. Shipping to business is more cheaper than to residential.

Yup! That is totally Britchen' SO I'm waitn' fo ma gov-ment check to help pay fer it. That discount should make it seem more reasonable.

Wow.. I guess my phone typing is worse than I thought it was... anyway, I did call them today.. he couldn't tell me what a plane cost, what he had in stock, or what it would cost to ship it to me... I think I'll give BVMProps a call.

Damn.. there's just no justice in this game!

I've been trying for over 2 months to get a simple motor, muffler and prop out of Cactus Aviation, and I've had a biplane with its guts hanging out for 2 months.. finally got the motor last week, but the other parts are still M.I.A.... obsurd.

I did get a voice mail back from Skyline today.. no details, jost one of those "call me" messages... so I returned the call.... the phone answered, but there was no voice, no answering machine, nothing!

I was driving from Atlanta to North Wilkesboro, NC today, so while on the road, I called BVM to talk about the 2x2.... again, they couldn't tell me what they had, what they didn't, or when they expected another shipment in... I guess Bobby was still coming back from Toledo or something.

I know most of the vendors in the biz are small businessmen, and when they are out of the office, it might as well be closed. I'm just about ready to go back to hangar-9 glow schit, just so I can get what I ordered, when I expect it.

Ok guys hold on to your horses... I got Adi(TazmanianDevil here) at CoverMeWingbags.com to make a set for my Katana and it's ready He'll ship it this week and I can't wait, perfect timing as the order for my Weatronic was sent in yesterday.

I'll let the pictures speak for themself's but I can highly recommend doing business with Adi. He is a perfectionist and is always trying to out do himself. I wouldn't have believed what can be done with a bit of coloured material and string. Adi spiced up the underside of the wing and stabilizers for me.
