Default 2.6 Comp ARF 260

I am installing a DA 100 in my 260. I had a slightly larger spinner than recommended so I had to lower the motor 2mm according to comp ARF's instructions to have it line up correctly. After it was bolted in I took the already mounted cowl and put it on to check alignment etc... and guess what it doesn't fit? The cowl would need a curved cutout about 1/4" in the bottom of the opening to line up right. Any idea why? I know the center of a motor is never in the center of the opening on a Comp but I don't recall seeing anybody cutting the bottom side of the cowl opening before. At least I never noticed it before. The spinner fits perfectly by the way?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Mike
