Awsome! That's one of the most gorgeous 50cc planes on the market today I've seen! Do you have any more pics?

I saw this plane at the Toldeo Show and fell in love immediately. It's a gorgeous plane that looks even better in person than in the pictures. The red, black and silver scheme is wonderful. I might have to have this one. ( My wife says I have too many planes)
All I can say, the pictures don't do it justice. Great looking plane AW. |

Hey everyone,
I have had the chance to build and fly this plane and I can say that it is awesome. It is every bit as nice as it's bigger QB brothers and I really liked tha addition of turnbuckle style pushrods. Below is the video of the maiden and the second flight. Let me know what you think. JB |

I had a chance to put one of these together for a good friend of mine.
I had some spare time told my buddy I put it together for him and being a quick build it takes no time. The 300LP in this scheme is just beautiful! I almost don't want to give it back to my buddy. We are doing the maiden tomorrow at out local field. I will post more about the way it flies once we complete the maiden. The cg came out perfect. I put it on my cg stand and it is a tad to the tail which will be perfect for me and my buddy. The batteries can be moved if needed with no problem as we already had that planned if needed. Here's some spec's and pictures of the finished plane. DL55 Motor JTec Pitts muffler Kavan wheels Xoar 22x8 for breakin Tru-Turn 4 inch Menz cut spinner, solid back plate Mpi Swithes Mpi regulators Hitec HS7955TG servos / stock servo arms Hyperion 2 cell 35c 2600 Lipos, 2 on rec, 1 on ignition Mpi Fuel Dot TBM servo extensions Extreme Flight Pilot-X Aeroworks Dash panels Spektrum DX7 radio 18lbs 3ounces AUW. CG is perfect, just a tad to the tail empty Cory |

Good luck with the maiden! Be very careful on landing approach. It has a tendency to stall very quickly leaving little or no time to recover. Bring it in high and hot. Yours is a bit heavier than mine. So I'm not sure that will affect your landing, but just be prepared....

Did the Maiden on wednesday the 8th. All went great. The DL55 started with no problems.
Roll out was great and she lifted up really nice. I did 2 clicks of down and one right. Cg felt good and inverted only required a bit of up from the stick. My buddie and I may move battery pack off the rudder servo tray and mount it up on the ignition pack to move a little weight forward and see what it does. We only got two flights on her. It was pretty windy at the field so we waited a while on the second flight for the wind to calm down to see how she really felt. The LP seems to track very well and has a fast roll rate on high rates. I used 60% expo and brought that up to 70%. I didn't try too much with as it's a new motor and I need to get used to it and so does my buddie. It's his first gas plane and he has alot to learn. Landings were great and had no problems. She seattled in on all three with a tad of power. He wants to try Imac so this will be a great plane try it with. A couple pics from the field. We'll put it back in the air over the weekend and get some time on the model. ![]() Cory |
