Default Have Reflex XTR and aerofly pro - Which is best ?

Have both of these and just waiting for my new 20` 9000 series HP laptop. Its has 2.6 / 256 Nvideo dedicated so will be more than up to the job.

I have used aerofly and it seems much easier to hover than in real life. What are your thoughts on most realistic sim out there ??

I have AFPD, FS1, and G4. I shouldn't admit this but i like flying G4 because its so easy to hover ect. I dont like FS1. AFPD is the most realistic and the best of the 3.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually find RXTR harder and more realistic to hover so thats why i am asking as i am only just getting into 3D

Reflex seems to have it for Heli's. AFPD is the best and airplanes and senery. RealFlight is best for marketing and blowing smoke but it is a decent product but seems more like a video game than a serious training tool.

I have both now and find reflex very realistic in terms of model parameters and senery is amazing but model selection and support is poor. Have emailed there support a few times and had nothing back. Such a shame as there after sales really lets down a fantastic product.

Reflex.... But I really prefer G3.5/G4 for all of the bells and whistles (especially online play, training videos and the ability to download hundreds of other aircraft from the forums)

I completely and wholeheartedly agree with you. I have had RealFlight G2, G3.5 and tested G4, I also tested AFPD and have Reflex XTR myself. AFPD is absolutely superior for motor airplanes, Reflex is better for Helicopters. XTR is also quite interesting for sailplane simulation once you tone down the default upwind components. If you can get only one sim, I would go for AFPD because their helos, albeit not as well-simulated as in XTR, are still quite good.

Honestly, Id go with Realflight G4. Much more realistic than any other sim for airplanes. Specially 3D

But if you have to pic Reflex or Aerofly, get Aerofly, much better than Reflex for airplanes IMHO.

Seth?!? For Real? You don't think G4 is a little too "easy" in 3D? Specially with the bigger planes?

afpd is a lot more realistic in a way because the airplanes with float a longer time on idle.

If you find a decent flying giant scale airplane for Reflex would you please send it to me? The ones I have suck.

I've had reflex for about 12 months, and after reading on this fourm how great G4 was I thought I'd try it, I still prefer reflex for the plane physics, but I like G4 just for something different. Still to try AFPD, but I'll get that to, at the end of the day there's no substitute for going out to the field!
