So the story goes like this. After I crashed my 3w Yak down in El Centro, I purchased a replacement 3w fuse. Well, my dad fixed the plane and now I have an extra 3w fuse with wings but no stabs. I am wondering if the stabs from a QQ 120 would fit on the 3w yak because the 3w yak stabs are incredibly expensive and I would like to save some cash. If anyone in SoCal has a QQ 120, I would love to borrow your stabs really quick to see if I can save some money. Can anyone help me out?

Sorry to hear about your crash.
Quique designed the 3W Yak. Actually it is 100% QQ's design manufactured by 3W. The 120" that QQAC does is the same plane with few more changes to make it an even more neutral flying plane. I am almost sure the stabs and elevators are identical but I would feel much more comfortable if you can bring your fuse and try my stabs on. I don't know if you are in driving distance to make it to my club OCMA or my home in Rancho Santa Margarita. There are two other people in my club that recently purchased the plane but they are not done building yet. Your only source would be me locally. Or if you are not in a hurry, my friend has the 3W manufactured one that I can try on his plane but I may not see him for another 10 days or so. Also I know one of FG members Joe(papastek) was building both our QQ-Yak and 3W built one, he may be able to help out if he sees this post. He might have both planes in his garage. Let me know if I could help out. Reza

here's my email address if you needed to contact me: reza@giantrcsupport.com
I bet you could've bought the whole plane from us for less than the price of the fuse! Last time I heard they were around $5500 price of almost 3 from QQAC! |

Hey Reza, thanks for the quick response. I just got in touch with PlaneBender and he told me that with some mods, they should work just fine. Problems solved.
