Default TM-14 antenna orientation - towards the right or ground?

Hi guys, how do you orientate your TM-14 antenna? Pointing to the right or towards the ground? I prefer to point it to the right as I do not want to repeatedly turn the antenna towards the ground everytime I get it out of the radio case as this might fatigue the antenna wire or joint.

Supposedly, the signal broadcast is strongest perpendicular to the antenna, so, I point mine towards the ground, on about a 45 degree angle. I don't know that any other position would cause a problem, but I've never had one.

I've tried both with normal results, flying through the Unlimited sequence with the deep roller.

I've accidently flown with it straght out as well, no problems.

I think pointed at the ground should theoretically cover all the bases.
