YSB Unless you want to hop into your time machine and travel back to around 1980 you have to look for old kits at auctions and e-bay

YSB,

The estate of a flying buddy of mine has a framed/glassed Nosen P51 for sale at a good price.

Pickup from NY/NJ or eastern PA.

Marc - my instructions don't offer throws, so I just went 1.5 inches up and down for the EL, 1.5 inches left and right for the rudder, and 1 inch up and down on the ailerons. I only have 5 flights so far, and the only thing I've done is increased my ailerons just a smidge. Remember, if it's flying fast, you don't need much, so also check how it handles at low speeds on final.

Hello, I am in the midst of build my first Nosen P51 and I have a few questions that someone might be able to answer. I am trying to figure out what servos I should use. Is there a specific torque rating? Will the 147oz servos work or do I need something bigger? I ve done pretty good on the spending side of my P 51. Justing making sure I dont put something in there to small and watch all my work come crashing down.

Jetman: I think that the answer to your question is "it depends" If you have built your 51 nice and light like the original specs and you power it with a small gasser then lighter duty servos will certainly work. I plan to build much stonger (heavier) than the stock structure with at least an 85 cc for power so I'm going to treat it like my 35% planes and use 330 to 400 oz/in servos. I'm sure that this is probably overkill for a warbird but I like the large safety factor!
