way too go man
right or wrong you stepped up and stopped the maddness. falconpilot is right about his plane and AW stepped up. Jim is Hell of a pilot with some serious skills and hate to see him with out his 42% now but every one has his own taste in what too fly for there own reason. I say its over regaurdless of the possible reason lets have fun. and to the guy that lost his plane IF I see you at a fly in you can fly mine maybe it will change your thoughts on the QB series.

I agree that Jim's incident was 100% manufacture defect and there was nothing he could have done to prevent it. And I am sure I would be SUPER pissed, too, and extremely upset about all my damaged equipment as a result. I just hope that he still loves this hobby and can understand AW limit of liability - he is right that I don't know the demeanor of how they handled it and maybe that is what put him off. I can tell you that that Chuck guy they have answering the phones can sound like a real A-hole, even if the right words are coming out of his mouth. It is in the past now...

bodywerks,

You hit the nail on the head....for me, it's all about how a customer is handled, and customer service. I give them every opportunity, even had one of their sponcered pilots who is a friend of mine(who happened to agree with my stance on the issue) talking with them for me before I went on the rant that I did...I'll be the first to admit that I handled the whole thing wrong...but, sometimes a company needs a wake up call that customers paying large(or small for that matter) sums of money for a product expect and deserve a good product and excellent cusomer service...It was how I was handled that pissed me off.....I can also see the can of worms that it would have opened for Rocco by giving me something free as well, so it was just a bad deal for the both of us....I do stand by the fact that when we pay for a product, we have every reasonalbe expection that it has been designed, and tested for the use it is intended..Don't release it until your sure that a failure will not be caused by your workmanship or design...

Aeroworks continues to make some of the best ARF's on the market...Just think back when we didn't have the ability to buy an AFR, and spent months putting an airplane together...We've got to remember that when we don't build it ourself, we are relaying and trusting all our equipment to those who did build it...Just part of the hobby and the risks we take...

As been stated here before...This is a hobby...We've got to keep it fun, or find something else to do that we enjoy....
