OK Guys, I'm ordering my Aerocat today. THE E-ROC is ON!!!
It is confirmed that Andrew "Animal" Jeskey will be racing.
I figure this will be my ONLY chance to possibly ( if I'm really lucky, the winds are right, my thumbs are rested, and the planets align) to beat Andrew in a contest involving RC airplanes.

The cool part is, anyone of you guys can have the same chance...

So come on... lets get this race going... who's in?
I have a SWEET Olympic styled Metal and a few cool prizes for the winner! Heck the top 3 will get something cool. So LETS GO.... WHO's IN!

It's the futaba 12 fg fast so I would definately like to hook up with someone that is using this system for a little overview. I'll also be camping too but for this experiance, I think its a minor inconvienance.
I got you covered!!

We'll have it ready for ya, Sleepy!!!

I will point out that Andrew J has raced twice with his AeroCat at the E-Fest, and let's just say things didn't go according to plan. He's hungry!!!

Heitman, is your AeroCat intact??

Well at the moment I do believe me, myself and I may be showing up to this event with the 4 legged beast seen at most IMAC events...I will bring some planes and things but will leave the real hucking to those with nimble fingers.

No worries, its a big field, get up and fly as much as you can.
Hucking is cool, but flying with FG bro's is better.
See ya there!

That's exactly what I'm hoping for. I can't seem to find any motherhuckers in my neck of the woods, so I'm hoping The Big Daddy Hucker will show up and let me absorb some of that magic so I can bring it home and REALLY impress my flying buddies.

As a matter of fact, I'm goin that way now. Hope I got enough fuel...

Well, I hope someone can show me the light, and keep me from doing this...

My Do is Done. Guess I'm not as good at knife edge on the Do as I am in G4 in a Yak. It ripped the antenna out of the rx, header out of the cylinder, taking half of the threaded casting with it, and put a nice crease in the manifold tube too. Worst part of it all is that the two guys I was flying with tonight, never saw a damn thing!

WOW !!!

That hurts looking at it now. Sorry to see that happen.

Hope it does not slow you down ?

That best thing that should be learned from this, is that you know what you did wrong and don't do it again.

Yes, I definitely did learn... I MUST remain several mistakes high when getting cocky. I was flying knife-edge circles around the field. Bear in mind, the Do couples badly in knife edge, and you have to stay on all 3 axes to keep it going. I was turning it back into the downwind leg, losing altitude (about 1/2 throttle, which is fine, but I was lagging on rudder), and the setting sun shadowed the plane and I lost orientation. Add some dumb thumb to the mix, and thinking I had rolled inverted I dove to gain altitude- but the plane had rolled out of knife edge to upright, and I dove right in to the ground

Totally my fault for flying low. If I'd had altitude it would have been an easy recovery.

As far as slowing me down? Hehe this is in my spare bedroom right now-

86" QQ Yak. DA 50 is on the mantle, need standoffs and exhaust. Servos, batteries, switches, etc. and I'm essentially ready to go. I really wanted to get a new 2.4 for this plane, but now that I am grounded I think I'll run it 72Mhz until I can afford the new Tx.

LOL nah man, I am definitely NOT let down at all by the death of the Do. The only real bummer is that I broke my engine- had I not done that I would be ordering a new 69" QQ tomorrow. But a new cylinder and carb manifold are just going to take that plan over the edge, so I'll concentrate on getting the 86" in the air.
