LOL!! OMG!! That was some of the funniest stuff I've seen at an event. The Extra was severely injured in night flying, even the motor jug was detached, lol, however it did not die. So, they took it over to the pilot sheds and beat the #*@$ out of it with the wing tube until it died. LOL! That was great.

I do have several metal wing tubes that I'm not using and I would be more than happy to bring them for use in the beatings!!

Fire walking was another first at an event. Chris was the man treading through red coals. I bet he didn't have any leg hair after that night, lol.

Let me tell you, you've just GOT TO BE THERE! Atlanta is something that will stick with you for a long time to come. The most fun I've had at a Fly-In, Hand's Down! That includes Joe Nall - no disrespect to Nall, it's now an annual trip for me and is great, but I had more FUN at Atlanta Huckfest!

By the way, that was one of my friends and fellow club members who spot landed his 50cc Yak in the back of the PT Cruiser. It will forever be part of the 07' ATL Huckfest Memories. It was scary at first until we found out there were no injuries, and it sucked for the damage to the vehicle and the plane, but that was something you don't usually see, and now we can laugh about it. The PT Cruiser whipped up on the Yak and got the better part of it. It looked like you put the Yak in the back of the Cruiser and then set a bomb off inside. I've never seen so many balsa splinters in one place in my life. There was balsa and covering in every crack and crevice in the interior of that car. Wish I had pics now.

Tater's been upgraded to a new pickup. I'll let someone crash into my new Navigator if you promise to explode the truck on impact!

Hey, State Farm.. I was just kidding.. really!!

Atlanta's probably the best bet, and a straight shot up the freeways to the field. GMA is probably about 60 to 70 miles from the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport (ATL).

Depending on prices and timelines, you might also try Chattanooga, TN or Greenville, SC. Those would be longer drives, but sometimes there are much better fares going into the secondary cities.

Coming into Chattanooga, TN will take you about 2 hours to the field. Not a bad drive at all.

Sleepy, I thought you were driving down to the Huckfest, with your grill lit like the Olympic Torch on top of your vehicle. . . . how am I supposed to slow-roast Bison ribs and Steaks without your grill?

Looks to be about 4 inches on the map! LOL If you want to go, I'm asking around to see who wants to either ride together or meet up there.
