Great flying, Brett! Thanks for all your work on the review.
Here's an update: As of today, we have plenty of the Yellow 47" Extra 300 SHP's in-stock. These have a few more improvements, most notably we now make the wheel axles and collars out of aluminum to save a bit more weight. Here's a link to the webpage. Also, we've found that, while the 47" SHP was designed as a 3S aircraft for 330-400 Watts, lots of people really like it on 4s and 450-600 Watts. Rather than beef up the SHP to better take the extra power, we decided to do another aircraft specifically for 4S...that way we could leave the Extra SHP alone since it works so well on 3S lipoly. Our new aircraft is a 47" model of the Extra SR, here's a link to the webpage. The SR's will begin shipping out within a few days from now. So, now we have Extras optimized for 3S batteries and 4S batteries. Both are also available in combos with Extreme Flight motors and speed controls. Also, we have the Extra SHP in a 55" 40-sized electric as well as an 87" 15 lb 50CC size.

You see what I mean guys? The boys at 3DHS must not sleep. They must be spending every waking moment designing airplanes!
That's great news Ben, I can't wait to give one a try. I love my SHP the way it is now, so I can only imagine what the new one flys like. |

Excellent review Brett!!
![]() The 47" Extra 300 SHP is such a stable airplane it could almost be considered a 3D trainer. This airplane will harrier sooooo easily all day long. Nice flying in the video too Brett. Good stuff my friend. The yellow color scheme absolutely ROCKS on the SHP. Tim |

Thanks Tim, you're too kind. In all honesty I was really nervous behind the sticks, I'm kinda new to flying for the camera and I think it shows. The next video I do, I'm going to turn off my hearing aid so I can't hear "Max Spielberg" yelling directions

I had the pleasure of watching both 3D Hobby Shop 47" Extra 300 SHP and the 87" 15lb 50cc fly and I cannot shup up about it. They just fly great...
![]() Congratulations Scott and 3DHobbyShop on your outstanding work developing high quality models. It's amazing how the 87" is so light, strong and so well developed.... ![]() Can't wait until I can afford a big bird...

I own one of these and at the end of each day flying my GS gas planes I always get in a little electric time. Its hard to describe just how good the 47" SHP is. It tracks perfectly, 3d's like a foamie, and is as docile as anything I have ever flown. Scott, great work on the design and Ben thanks for bringing it to market. Keep up the good work guys!
David. P.S. Looking forward to a 100"+ plane from you guys someday. |

The SHP Extra is a GREAT plane! My skill improved quite a bit and I can thank that to the plane and the work behind it. I'm ready to make the next jump, I retired my Extra for the 47" YAK. Great planes and great people!

Thanks, guys! Glad you're enjoying the Extra.
P.S. Looking forward to a 100"+ plane from you guys someday. We've got the 87" Extra SHP finished, it's going to start shipping in June, and we're flying early protos of some 100+ ships...so they are coming, it's just a question of how long it takes to get it exactly right. Also, we're showing 3 new planes at SEFF in Georgia on May 1. Two are electric, one is electric or glow.
