Good job Tim.....Looks like you were flying by the seat of your pants. I was suprised by the smoke also, but the smoke is why the pullout was slower. It is nice to watch straight lines, but it looked like you were having fun. You have great potential. Fly that thing like you stole it.

It's a bit difficult for me to explain in English but...
Let's say the wing felt over the fuselage... the nose has to drop first, then you have to steer in...
Over here alot of faults are flown in the spin, I even saw TOP pilots getting a very bad score on the spin.

@Tim: Very nice flying dude!!!
I thought the same thing when I did it, wasn't really thinking about being scored, I was thinking more about just getting a video so more people can see the plane flying and get more interest in it. Your plane looks awesome, have fun!!

Tim,
Awesome!!!! Looks like you're liking the plane. I have 36 flights on mine and I'm still liking it better each flight. Have fun.

Thanks guys, I am still dialing it in a little better each time. This thing flys IMAC just as good as it 3d's. I am having a lot of fun with it.

I didn't take offense, it all started with a buddy of mine joking around about it, all in good fun. He's just scared I'm gonna bypass his flying level:4:.

Haha, he knows I respect his flying abilities. You still going to Joe Nall? Give me a call between now and then if you're gonna fly, I'd like to come up one day. Otherwise I'll see you there.

I scored the spin a 7.5

The nose drops at the same time the left wing drops, even though the plane continues forward. This is a stalled flight condition. Full scale planes do not stop their forward motion in a spin. They actually initiate spins at speed in excess of 35-60 knots forward motion. This plane exhibited VERY "Scale" spin entry in this case. All that is required is to show a definitive "break", stalled flight, autorotation, and lack of wingover on entrance to the spin. He accomplished all these nicely.

The nose broke throughthe horizon, and the left wing dropped simultaneously before the right wing came around. The right wing did not 'wing over", but rather spun with the aircraft as the left wing AND nose dropped lower, increasing the roll and yaw motion, but not to the point of a wingover. A plane does not have to spin flat in order to spin, and given that the nose AND left wing were dropping at the same time the right wing was angling upward, giving the pilot the benefit of the doubt (because the plane is dropping at this time) renders the entrance to the spin acceptable, though not particularly textbook or pretty.

The spin exit was decent, and he got the nose down nicely, but he missed the roll point of the stoppage slightly, and the entrance to the spin actually climbed slightly.

2.5 points of downgrade. . Scored a 7.5

Comment: That has to be the LOUDEST canister exhaust setup I have ever heard. You sure you are running canisters?? I'd be giving that an automatic 5 for sound score.

Otherwise. . GREAT flying dude. Looked sweet and the Yak is very stable and 3D's nicely. Now .. about those notchy point rolls and missed snaps. . . . .

Thanks. For some reason it sounded very loud on the video. In person it sounds very different, not sure why the camera picked it up like that.
