Well the time has come. It is time to maiden my compy and I have some last questions about my set up. I am running two fromeco 5200 packs through a turbo reg into a eq 10 and I am getting a reading of 5v on my flight log when I turn the plane on. How could this be??? The batts are not low on charge. I also tried to increase the volts on the turbo reg and the reading on the flight log only went up a little. Also as soon as I turn the plane on and scroll through the receivers they are 0 and then the left receiver reads 770 fades. It also doesnt matter where I put the receiver. So I am not going to fly the plane with these little missreadings. Could it be that I have a faulty flight log??? Here are some pics, does every thing look good

It's because the EQ-10 supplies a steady 5 volts to the receiver. The servos see the higher voltage from the turbo reg.

I did some tests and came out with good numbers but the left receiver just stays at 770 fades. I plugged it into the right port and it showed some bad performance down by the pipes so I moved it up. So could it be that the right port just does not work???? the light on the satelite is on when its in it. is this just the flight log???

More weird thing happened when I was testing. I noticed that the whole system only responds to the radio if the red sat is plugged in. If it isnt the whole system shows the solid lights as if it has binded with the radio but it is unresponsive. If I plug the red in and it all the sudden is responsive and I can unplug the red and it will still be responsive, so I am confused. what could this be???

what really confuses me is that the lights act just like they do when they bind to the trans... they take a second and turn on one at a time. but there is no response but if I just plug the red sat in and unplug it real fast all the sudden everything responds. the other sat that I am using on this plane is from my ar 7000 and it works fine on the ar 7000.

It is working properly. It is designed that way so if the satelite receiver fails in flight the receiver still works, mine does the same thing. Albert

Yeah but if I start the plane up with just the grey sat and the red sat unplugged the plane is in fail safe and it doesnt respond, only until I plug the red in can the main and grey work. I can run the red with out the grey and the plane will respond.

The receiver needs only one satelite rec. plugged in to initiate. If one or both satelites get unplugged in flight it will continue to work. Mine works the same as yours. What I don't know is if it needs to see a satelite into either port or a specific port. Albert

I have tried plugging the grey sat in to both sides with the other empty and either way the plane is in fail safe. I can plug the red into both sides with the other empty and the plane will bind. The only way the grey works is if the red is plugged in. That is what has got me concerned

So once "connected" you can unplug both and it still works right ? If this is the case then the only way it would not work is if you were only using the gray satelite and it failed while on the ground trying to coect to the radio right ? I would call horizon, my guess is that it is software related. Either way it sounds like it isn't something to worry about since it would and could only happen during "startup".
