I am actually suprised I have not seen anyone do one! I know I talked to Andrew Jesky about doing a thread on his new one with the Hacker system, but obviously he has been pretty busy with the etoc.

I would imagine that ours should be done in the next week or two. We were waiting on some servos and deciding what engine to go with. We mounted a DA100 in it for photos but we have decided to put a DA85 in it because from our calculations it should be right at 23lbs with the 85.

Also for those that are interested carbon fiber gear from graph tech is now available and it is about 8oz lighter then the stock gear.

Hey Gremlin.....

I'm right there with ya! I wish someone would do a build on this 2.7 JTEC Extra as well , with a combo of a DA-85. I'm interested in seeing how it comes out with the weight.....23lbs? Sheeeesh......that's light for a 33% , let alone a 35%.

I don't think i've seen a 35% ARF extra , yak or anything else come close to those weights. Kevin....are you sure your talking about the 2.7 model , and not the 2.5 extra?

If you guys have a video or anything with a 2.7 / DA-85 combo , it would be really cool to see it.

P.S. ...if it does come in around 23lbs with an 85.....i can see one of these suckers getting into my hangar before to long!!

I just finished building it.

It will be at Nall with the Da85 in it!!!

We have a customer with a 2.5 at 25.5 pounds with a DA 100. The 85 is almost 2 pounds lighter. The customers weight is without carbon

Nall price is $900.00 We have limited room in the trailer so if you want us to bring an additional one let us know. We'll be there Monday

Al

Al,
For clarification, I think you mean the 2.7 at 25.5 with the DA 100 not the 2.5?? I will most definately post some pics and info when I get mine in the air. I think Al will have some feedback on his before I am done with mine though.
