Default J&J Tailwheels maiden flight

I was able to maiden the J&J Tailwheel this weekend at the Pop Curtis fly in at Hodges Hobbies this last weekend. The titanium rod is bullet proof and never had steering issues even in the 25+ mph winds. This is top quality stuff and I will definately be adding it to other planes in the fleet.

You flew that Yak this weekend??? Man, those winds were terrible. Glad to hear all went well. Are you still thinking about going up to Greenville next month?

The Nall is definate for next month...and yes..the winds were quite strong..After driving 3 hours to Hodges...I had to fly...even in the wind...The Compy 3.0 Yak did quite well...it is a very stable bird..

Your recovery is about a day ahead of mine... I'm looking at Thursday. Wednesday I have a guy coming over from 'bama to buy my EF Yak.

Acutally, if that plane goes, I might not have anything to put in the air! My edge is grounded until I get a power box installed in it (no problems, just paranoia over Futaba's latest announcement). If I get a couple of props in, the biplane will be ready. We'll see!

BTW.. I ordered a Comp ARF Yak today.. NO, not the monster that you fly, its midget little brother, the 2.1 I thought it would be a good replacement for the EF Yak. I have a 3W 50CS at the house, should be a decent plane with that.

Welcome to building hell. I think I would rather build a plane from sticks than the Compy 2.1 extra...not an easy plane to build...but will definately develope your building skills.

We hate to do this, however, as demand has increased we have had to change suppliers for some of our components. Therefore, we have to increase our price.

We wish we could continue to provide the tailwheels at $65, but given the amount of time and the increase in cost, it would not be worth our time to continue the production.

The new price effective 5/19/08 will be $75 plus S&H. Along with the added cost we have some improvements coming, and with any luck we will have these available at Joe Nall offering them for the last time at $65.

See you at Joe Nall. Stop by our booth Thursday-Saturday.

Hopefully, everybody understands.

Thanks
John and John
