If you remember from some previous pics, I removed some material from the fuse to allow for a CG-mounted tank. Here's how that turned out.
It is very lightweight and was a simple install - just carbon rods, a little ply, and a little foam and zipties to hold it down. The two aft carbon rods go all the way through the fuse. The wings cover up where I drilled through the fuse sides, so it didn't ruin the looks or anything... |

and the final weight, less pilot and vinyl...I am very happy with the final weight, despite the effort. If I would have built it stock with pipes, I'd have been over 40 pounds for sure - a far cry from the 36-37 pound advertised weigh. In fact, the two of these planes I know of that have pipes or cans are 41-3/4 and 43 pounds (the 43 pounder used big nimh batteries, though, and a full boat of servos). And yes, I do notice it!
