Yo Crew - can one of you Louisiana guys tell me what the heck it takes to get a cooler full of those mud bugs shipped out here to California?? I'm tired of lookin' at these pics you're always posing of a picnic table full of 'em chowin' away.. I've never met one, but want to!
What's up? Who's got the hookup?? ;-) MD

Don't know if you have a Central Market there Max but we do in Washington State and they will ship them here. I also have blue crabs flown in from Maryland from time to time by the crab houses in Maryland. BTW IF you do get some crawldads be sure and suck the heads!!!

You guys need to take a trip to Minnesota. When the sun goes down the crawdads, crayfish, mudbugs whatever you call them in your neck of the woods all come up to the shore. If you want you can catch them by the hundreds.

We hooked up one of our customers in Oregon with the real deal when he came down here. He claims that you can get them in Oregon, but you can't find anyone that can cook them worth a flip. Looks like you just need to bring your ass down here for a weekend if you want to get some. I'd ship you some, but I doubt they would arive alive. If they did, the customs crew would have a hell of a lunch!

, no , what you want are a bucket full of slipper lobster from down the street dude. You know the one , "Baha__________" . You know the one down at the beach. My wife and I ate there almost every night while we were down in Costa Mesa. Like the other guy said, it's all in the cooking. They can taste awfully mudy otherwise. |

$129 ain't nothin' if you got the taste for a batch of bugs... Like lobster, they are shipped alive and have to be cooked alive also... You don't cook or eat dead bugs...
You're gonna pay $5 - $6 a lb in a restuarant... When I lived in New Orleans, we'd walk up to King Richard's on Rampart and get 'em for $2.50 a lb, cooked... Takes 5 - 6 lbs for me to get my fill... Max, if you've never had bugs, you haven't lived yet... Had I known you were a bug virgin, I woulda taken you & Momo out for some last Nov when you were in town...

Just thought I'd rub it in a little.
They are not ready to cook yet, I have to get at least a six pack in me before I light the burner!
