Default YS 140 SPORT - WHAT TO EXPECT ??

I have had a YS 140FZ for years now and it has been a faithful and powerful companion. I am thinking about buying a new YS 140 Sport and am wondering if it is an equal to the FZ, a step down or a step up ? I know all the alternatives to this engine ( I probably have them ) but I'm just interested in the 140 Sport.

I personally don't own a Sport, but here is what I've heard from owners.

Not quite as powerful as the FZ or the L, but a little more user friendly.

I have heard it is a little easier to tune, but I don't know why. I'm not sure if they changed the carb or the compression level, to make it more reliable, but I'm told it is the easiest of the 140's to set-up from the beginning.

All hearsay, but for what it's worth, I'd be happy to have one.

According to Dave Shadel at YS the Sport is the former FZ. There may have been a minor change (it was a while ago that I read this). If you like the FZ the Sport will be perfect for you. I had one, very user friendly and powerful.

The Y.S. 1.40 Sport is basically the FZ. The Sport actaully makes a little more power that the FZ. They did make some changes from the FZ, but it is still basically the same engine. Y.S. discontinued the FZ when they came out with the Sport.

I thought this was the reverse, due to making it more user friendly, my bad, I stand corrected.
