Once again, you have severely missed the point! By now they either know that there is definitely an issue, or there is definitely not an issue, or they are too dense to figure it out. I would like to believe that the third option is not the correct one since, if true, they should not be designing radios for us.

So they can come on here and say definitively yes or no to the issue. I am not talking about determining the details of why & how it happens, just is there or is there NOT an issue!!!

As stated before, anyone of us with access to a heat gun (or some other way to heat up the RXs, like a styrofoam box and a big light bulb), a thermocouple, and ten 6014 RXs could do this in three hours. Why can't they???

To date there are three issues with the Futaba FASST Rx:

1) Low output voltage
2) Temperature sensitivity
3) Servos going to full throw in one direction when switching the Rx on

How many of you experience the third issue also?

RC Dart, that is a good idea. What are your thoughts on the Fromeco Fan over the receiver. I think that would only work if the receiver was causing the heat. If it's the ambient temp., then it would just circulate the hot air. My Dalton (which I am about to maiden) had two receivers, and greeves pipes. There is no pipe tunnel, so I am a little concerned.

If the RX is under a clear canopy and is getting hit with direct sunlight (on a mostly black plastic case), then the fan will help a lot. It will convectively cool the receiver as the local air is still way cooler than the RX case.

For a guy who professes not to be an engineer you seem to think you have a very firm grasp of what it takes from an engineering standpoint to diagnose and fix a potentially complex problem.

I'm impressed. Perhaps you should hop on a jet over to Japan and set those dolts straight!!

Prizzy, my plane has BMB pipes and no pipe tunnel, so our set up is simular, a fan over the rx may help, but what I have done is very effective, uses no power, should be very reliable, sources cool fresh air, and costs about $2.00. It works for me, and thats what I consider important, others must make up their own mind.

What is the intake actually? Did you make it, or is it used for some other purpose?

Perhaps a better way would be to take the cover off your receiver, get out your solder gun and start heating up individual components until you make it go "click" and the light turns red.
.
.
I'll be glad to help you out, just PM and I'll give you my address to ship your 6014 Rx's and I'll post the video.

I believe those are used for dressing on a pull-pull rudder setup.
