Hey guys i am thinking of buying one of those new parkzone typhoon's just for something to fly around at the park, i have been told they really perform great. People really throw them around and can do heaps of manovours. I just want to get a nice park flyer so i dont need to go down to the field all the time.
And it looks like i am going to go with this one. Any of you guys have one of these? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys lachy |

The Typhoon is fun to throw around...it needs more power...but should adequate...Also...look at the Multiplex acromaster...with the right motor...it has great performance..flies better than the Typhoon and does not break as easy as the typhoon...One of the best flying foam planes I have ever flown.

The Acro Master is a bit too big for a park flyer. It's more suited to the local field, or a BIG parkinglot.
I've heard mixed reviews on the Typhoon. If it's your first 3D plane, then take it easy, and use only the low rates. It will feel twitchy at first, but eventually, you'll get used to it, and will want to use high rates to get it to spin all around, and do 3D stuff, like hover, knife edge, blender, harrier, ect. Also, upgrade to a 2100 mah lipo battery.

Typhoon 2 (Yellow/Blue) only if you put your own Rx in it. The RTF glitches like crazy with the Parkzone Tx/Rx combo. 5 -6 times a flight and can cause a crash if it happens at the wrong time. I changed to a JR Rx and it went away.
It's heavy for it's size. Has a bunch of coupling problems, but is almost indestructible. It doesn't do a lot of things well, but pile it in and you'll be flying again soon. Flies well with the SFG's but better without them IMO (lighter). My $0.02 Brian
