Default CP Pro Trouble

hi there. i am fairly new to RC Helis and new to this forum, its very nice.
i have been flying a CX2 for several months and just recently bought a used CP Pro. For some reason when i go to lift off is flies to right as if i gave it full right stick (to the right).
i have tried the pot and the gain to no avail. the servos seem to work ok and the guy i bought it from said its flown 3 times.
i guess that doesn't mean they were 3 smooth flights...
any help/ideas would be appreciated; especially a systematic approach to narrowing it down to where the problem is.

Before you fly it again, is there a way a experanced heli flyer can look at it. If not, turn the heli on and with the throttle off look at the swash plate. If it is leaning to the right, thats the way the heli will go. It should be perfictly flat. If it is not flat use the trims to make it flat. Also if you put extra flybar weights on the CP pro, it makes it alot easier to fly.
