I have an opertunity to get a fair deal on a 35% Radiowave Panzi ARF. but I don't know anyone who owns one or has flown one. Anyone out there have any knowledge of their product? I was leaning towards a PAU but I heard ( somewhere ) the Radiowave planes are built well and light also. Which plane would you put your Ben Franklins on ? Any input would be a great help!! Thanks "!"

Al And Kevin are stand up type people. You will really enjoy whichever airframe you decide to purchase. My 11 year old son, Alex fly's a 3.2 Radiowave extra 300 and I have a panzl in the bones ready for cover and a 3.2 extra 330 arf. half complete. If I can just find the time to get them complete! These are great 3D and precision airplanes. Good luck with you decision.

Go with the Panzl. It is a great flying plane and will IMAC and 3D equally as well. I had one for about 2 years and loved it. The only reason that I go trid of it was I needed the money for the coming Extreme Flight Yak.
Flew great with a DA 100 on stock mufflers with a Menz 27x10. Here is a picture of mine. Check this video out. This is my Panzl on its first couple of flights.

The Panzl is an excellent flying airplane. I have had mine for a few seasons now. Built from a PAK kit in a custom full scale Panzl scheme.

You will love it. I built mine from a PAK kit and flew IMAC with it last season. It's a very stable and capable airplane.

Oops! I wouldn't want a PANZI plane either, I can hear the guys laughing allready! However, the PANZL sounds like it will work for me and I think I will go this route. Now I have to decide, headers and cans. or standard in cowl exhaust ? Hmmm.....lots of options....DA85 or DA100 ? Lets wait and see....

DA100 on cans. Its quite a big 35%... maybe you could balance it on an 85 but you'd need everything up front.
Mufflers are just bad for the hobby IMO. Canisters keep our fields safe(er)... |

The Radiocraft Panzl / Staudacher GS300 are a great line of kits that fly anything you can.
My dad nad I have flown this design for about 7 or 8 years...We started out on the Aerocraft 30% Staudacher Kit with a Spehar 4.6 twin . We then moved up to 36% Tom MIller plans built Staudachers powered by a DA100 and then the second one was powered with a 3W106....the 3rd one we powered with a 3WTOC120(older style).. We then moved up to 40% Tom MIller plans Staudachers and we have 3WQS150s in them...the second one is nearly ready for its Maiden in LAnsing Mi. over the mothers day weekend...(Moms out of town...my gift to her!!) We fly IMAC with these planes but I have been told they are 3Din fools... If you plan on flying IMAC with the Staud e me if you need a basic point to start as far as throws and CG placement...You will like the plane....very simmilar to the Extra... In fact....I have flown my cousins Carden Extras...both the 260 and 300....the Staud needs no excuses...it can hang with them no prob. Downline breaking is excellent as the front end is kinda blunt...snaps damp immediatly...spins are predictable...wing is thick so it slows down nicely.... We can fly what we wish....we fly Stauds.. Rush 7- Thanks for the awesome video. You know seeing it flying makes it harder to wait ! I have everything except the airframe, Jr8611's , DA 100 from my CAP, etc. I was actually speaking with Al over at JTEC recently and he made up an exhaust for one of my Brissons. Really nice guy to talk to and to deal with. I guess his son is quite the pilot also and flies the circuit. John Glezellis flies at our field on occasion and the canister exhaust makes sense since some fields mandate this. Appreciate all the help from all of you! Thanks...Stinger312

The Radiowave PANZL is not the same plane as the old Staudacher. There are some major differences which have improved the whole flight profile of the plane. Different fuse, moments and airfoil. The Radiocraft was a great flying plane but the Panzl again is different. It will IMAC and 3D probably better than most planes. As you can see by the responses you see here our customers love it.
I think most people overlook it due to its shape and color scheme. They are missing out on the performance. Our goal is to design planes for PERFORMANCE and QUALITY. Unfortunatly I can not always come up with a scheme that please everyone. So I think the plane has been overklooked by many for that reason. Tom Miller is a personal friend and a damn good designer. His planes are also outstanding and I would highly recommend his planes/plans. I will bet you will not regret buying the plane once you fly it. It flys outstanding with the 100, We will be setting up one with the 85 soon. We have had customers with 80's that were very happy with the performance. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about the Panzl. Al

Your best bet would be to get the 40% J-Tec 330.It won't cost you much more than the 35% and you will not believe the difference in the way 40%ers fly compared to 35%ers. Use a Siako servo on the rudder (cheap and easy with 1,800 tq. oz.) I have 2 5955s on each ail, and one each eliv.
I got my J-Tec Extra 330 5 years ago used from another guy nick named "Smack" that had it and flew it hard for a few years before me.It was the fist one of the ARFs that came out. It has well over 1,000 flights on it and I have never made a single repair to it and it has the same covering.I have burned a 55 gal. drum of smoke oil in this plane too! I just fuel it up and fly it hard every weekend 10 flights a day. If you can do basic maneuvers comfortably with small planes you are better off to skip the 35% category and save your $ and time. ![]() This was my first 40%er.It makes me look like a better pilot than I really am!
