Soooo, excited today, the Tunnel Vision arrived. Covering not too bad, will need to iron out some wrinkles. Some minor damage to a wing rib that should be easy to fix. Oooooh, but they failed to include the wing tubes and instruction manual. Aaaaaugh, soooo excited and now I have to wait for parts. I hope someone is there manning the shop and not in Toledo!

Couldn't help but jump into the thread. I just bought a CHP CapX for my OS 160. Although there are some wrinkles in the covering I'm not excited about, the overall quality of the kit is great. Unfortunatley my time constraints are keeping me from getting it together but this weekend it's time to get after it !!! Gonna put 5645's on ailerons and elevators and a 5945 pull-pull on the rudder. The new colors are awesome !! I talked to Chip about the 160 and he said this airframe / engine combo is fantastic with excellent 3D capabilities. Can't wait to get it in the air !!! I'll post some pics on the build and performance.

OK, I figured out how to download the manual. Could not do it on my computer at home for some reason, used the one at work. Pretty simple and straightforward build, just needed to know some particulars. The days are rainy, windy, or both here and that is the prediction for the weekend so I am trying to get lot's of building done. Just finished an OMP 46 Yak and hope to start on the Tunnel Vision this weekend. Then an OMP Boxxer that is on the shelf. THEN, HOPEFULLY, a 50 cc gasser!!!
Jon, did you use CF control rods?

Nope, Just used 4-40 rod
You could use 4-40 threaded rod and slip some CF tubing over it and glue it on

Hello everyone !
I need some help...I have just got a 74" extreme YAK and the O.S 160 FX plus the SlimLine Muffler recommended by Chris Hinson. I would like to know if it is necessary to get a VP 30 pump for that engine ? I enjoy 3d flights and the opinions are very differente...so I am really lost ! I prefer to fly without the pump because it is easier. I doing the first flight next week and I really need some help with that. Oh I almost forgot..the prop I am going to run on the engine is the APC 18x6 wide. Thanks Cláudio Gusso from Brazil |
