Maidened my GP CAP 232 today. DL 50 powered missile. This thing climbs like a raped ape, felt like a high flying kite you had to pull extra hard to get down to earth.
Did not need much trim balanced on the button, flies straight as an arrow, just got to figure how to get it down when it goes to the stratosphere

Thanks again for the idea of putting this plane together, I've got a feeling this one is going to take the top slot in my rotation.
Hope you guys can make it up to Yanceyville to fly some weekend, if you take the Northern route thru Reidsville you should be able to get there in about 50 minutes.

I just re-built mine after an arguement with a hole in our runway. Made it into a project for new guys to gas that want a nice plane and don't have a lot of money. Used one of the XYZ 50cc engines for $250.00 and the thing turned out great. Nice solid engine in a rock steady airframe.
BTW That thing's like a foamy with that DL in it. Great job!! http://www.flyinggiants.com/gallery/...1&ppuser=22265

Heres an update on my Cap
I decided to try a Three bladed prop and went with a 19 X 10 Biela I like the change, the DL-50 has more than enough for this plane and this allows me to slow down some and also gain gound clearance which is nice.

Looks Good....I agree,
It also does not want to go straight up as much which is nice, the only downside is the throttle band is a bit narrower...am wondering if a better radio with a good throttle curve function might help that? Am in the market for a new radio , my Fut 6EX is at its limit with this bird. Three Blades |

Another Cap update. Lucky for me a sod farmer lets me fly on one of his nearby fields. I tow the plane there with my bicycle trailer. This might be a first but more than likely someone else has done this before. Heres my rig.

Hello
I just got this GP cap232 as my first giant gas plane. I'm new to the big stuff but have flown RC for ~9yrs. This will be my set-up, please let me know if it's OK?
