Absolutely, looks good to me too, but the Zen45 is not powerful enough and I don't want to risk getting low'ish power with the XY50 so I will get the DL50 and be on the safe side.
I'm a terrible pilot and need all the power I can get to recover from bad situations LOL.

The hole pattern looks the same is it the same length also?
Same everything - height, sweep, hole pattern, whatever (except thickness).

Hello, Everyone I'm new to giant scale and just bought a GP 27% cap 232. Went to a large scale event last week and now I've got to have one!!! I decided on a 27% cap because of the weight and good things said about it on this site. Will sell some Heli stuff to pay for the engine and electronics. Looking forward to it!

Any thoughts on a BME 58 extreme in this plane? www.bmeengine.com The landing gear will be extended to allow for a larger prop. Will this engine tear this plane apart? Please note the advertised weight (3.2 lbs all up} of the engine. I was going to go with a DL 50 but in the quest for a "giant foamy" where weight means everything I could not help myself from asking this question.

my bme 58 need a large prop so u really need to have the landing gear to allow a 23-24 prop also and i think the power will be quite a bit but most of us only go full throttle on up lines so u be the judge.....

It really is a giant foamy with the DL50. I've had several people fly my cap and they can't believe the power it has

Hey Chris. G-man. Love the videos of the Cap. I think I know what I want from Santa this year!! What servos would you recommend for all except throttle and rudder?

Yo G-Man, good to see ya on hear

If you are going to fly your cap the way I fly mine, I would recomend a metal gear servo with lots of torque. Doesn't necessarily have to be digital, but it has to be strong. On mine I used the JR sport 126MG servos on the elevator and ailerons, and believe me when I say I have put these things to the test and they haven't let me down.

Dude, this plane is right up your alley. It is a cheap set up (relatively speaking) and it rocks like no other. Wait until you fly mine, you'll want your own

Funny thing is, I never expected the sort of performance out of this plane that I got.

Has anyone used a wrap around Pitts muffler on their Cap/DL 50 combo?

I am looking to replace my stock muffler but am wondering if it will fit? Looks like it should?

I haven't used one in the cap but "Unbalanced" has one in his cap on his Brillelli. I don't see any reason why one wouldn't fit on the DL.
